As a follow up to my top 5 manga thread in the manga section, I now wish to see all of your top 10 favorite animes!

The reasoning for a v. 2 is the same as my manga one, as now people who posted in the first "favorite anime" threads probably have different opinions now and don't wish to go back and edit on a dead thread. Also, the original "favorite anime" threads are currently scattered throughout different pgs. in the forum and many may be oblivious to their existance. I figured i'd catch more eyes if i started a new thread.

Well, my changes on a semi-frequent basis, but at the moment it stands as such:

1. NARUTO (I cosplayed Rock Lee and was a part of the biggest Naruto cosplay group Ushicon ever saw. Yeah. I love it.)
2. Bleach (I swear Ichigo is the hottest guy ever.)
3. Fruits Basket (The manga is MUCH better, but I've seen the entire series and it's just too adorable.)
4. One Piece (Mostly read the manga...but I have the anime and need to watch it.)
The rest are all past favorites that will ever hold a dear place in my heart...

7. Inuyasha (I probably would still be in love with it, but my dad cut off our cable and now I can't watch any of the new episodes...)

1) Naruto - Perfect anime, overwhelmingly good.
2) Fullmetal Alchemist - Awesome all the way through, dark, great characters...
3) Gundam SEED - Makes my cry like a baby ^^; Love Gundam, this is the best one.
4) Trigun - One of my first series, Vash is just such a legend.
5) Fruits Basket - Fluffy, character-driven loveliness. KYOOOO!
6) Berserk - Great story, great ending. Manga's just a little too over the top, love the wind guy though!
7) Zeta Gundam - Camille was a peen....but no-one in their right mind cannot love Quattro (CASVAL-SAN!!)
8) Evangelion - Movie is SO GOOD! Series is average but the End is just utterly fantastic.
9) X/1999 - Love the characters and music. Plot slightly rushed, still want the manga.
10) Hellsing - Silly fun! Can't resist!

Close contenders for the bottom 5 were Mobile Suit Gundam, Gundam Seed-D, Gundam Wing, and Gungrave. No doubt I've missed something glaringly obvious...

1.) One Piece - The manga is simply a master piece, it's just so much fun to read.

2.) Dragon Ball - My first manga/anime I was introduce to and I still love it, although I don't read it as much as I use to.

3.) Bleach - It's cool and has a nice story to it.

4.) School Rumble - One of the best comedies you'll see, very funny.

5.) Cowboy Bebop - Very hip and trendy, one of the best dubs you'll ever see in anime.

6.) Escaflowne - Just a classic

7.) Neon Genesis Evangelion - Same as above

8.) Naruto - Although not as addictive as it used to be, it's still quite good.

9.) Excel Saga - Utterly insane, and that's why I like it. :P

10.) Trigun - One name is all that's needed, Nicholas D. Wolfwood.

Hi, this is my first post. Did anyone else notice that db/dbz is almost on everyone's list? Of course I assume we are talking about subbed dbz and not that CN crap. OK... first post...

well, my top 10 anime series would be:

1. Last Exile, Gungrave and Monster (a three way tie, because these are all masterpieces)

2. Great Teacher Onizuka (G R E A T, but too short... I think we need a second season to finish up the rest of the manga story)

3. Hunter X Hunter (best shounen ever, well One Piece is excellent too, but the anime's got way too many filler episodes... of course the manga is another story)

3. School Rumble (something like Azumanga Daioh meets Kare kano, those two series I love, and having a combination of the two is really great, If you ever thought that it couldn't get any funnier than azumanga nor fumoffu, well there is School Rumble, funniest anime ever created... yes i think that way)

4. Haibane Renmei (most beautiful art and animation -together with Last Exile- besides the story is just like the art, beautiful, it's like a dream... besides it has a really interesting theme.

5. The Vision of Escaflowne (Perfect Balance of everything a great series should have, excellent plot, excellent character development, excellent animation, besides is packed with drama, action and romance, and the best is that this is the only mecha related anime series I really like, although the mecha is not at all that important)

6. Planetes (another masterpiece, but very overlooked by anime fans, it might not sound that interesting but it is. Watch it!! )

7. Full Metal Alchemist (it's up here because the story was innovative, and it hasn't reached a conclusion yet .... waiting for the movie... )

8. Azumanga Daioh & Full Metal Panic Fumoffu (here because they really made me laugh)

9. Noir (I find it really artistic for some reason, love the music, the art, the setting, and Kirika)

10. Berserk (the animation was lacking, but it has such an amazing story backing it up that I can only say this is great, of course if you want the rest of the most EPIC story ever then you have to read the manga)

OTHER series that I really like would be: Trigun, Shingetsutan Tsukihime, One Piece, Scrapped Princess, Fruits Basket, His and Her Circumstances, oh and of course Kimi Ga Nozomu Eien (too bad the second time you watch it is not as dramatic as the first time), full metal panic (because you need to watch this before watching fumoffu, and because Tessa is hot), ... so this I recommend watching too... and also the old classics Bebop, NGE, and movies like Castle of Cagliostrio.

I've seen lots of anime but this are the ones that have left a very good impression on me

1. Soukyuu no Fafner (Only anime I can ever remember making me cry. All the characters, even the minor ones, were excellently portrayed. With this series, they took the only good things about Eva [those being the mechs and the rampant and hardly-subtextual gayness] and amped them up, making something I actually really enjoyed. Unlike Eva. I swear I will be 68 years old one day and still dissing up Eva.)
2. Samurai Champloo (It was beautiful, had awesome music, awesome humour and awesome characters. )
3. Loveless (Sure, only one episode has aired so far, but I'm a huge fan of the manga, and the art is gorgeous and fluid so far. Possibly one fo the best BL series ever made. It also has a kickass OP and ED.)

azumanga daioh (gotta hand it to this anime i watched it without intending to like it but it changed my mind in the very first episode)

naruto (wouldn't be here if i didn't like it that much duh)

bleach (so may interesting and cool characters and all the plot twists. any of the characters could've easily had their own anime series especially the gotei 13 and hichigo)

DBZ (awesome anime that defined a genre and raised the standard for any anime that came after)

rurouni kenshin (saw this before most ppl even knew anime existed and this has been my standard when i judge if an anime is good or not)

tekkaman blade 80s version (the reason i started watching anime after all. too bad i couldn't find any until anime became popular in the states)

black cat (oh how much i longed for someone to use a gun like train does in this anime. vash might be good with shooting a gun but train really puts his hades to use beyond shooting a target he's like a samurai with that gun)

excel saga (haven't watched anything remotely as fun as this series excluding azumanga daioh)

full metal alchemist (i don't know what attracts me more to this anime. the fact that i learned to appreciate chemistry and it's history by researching as much as i could about alchemy and the philosopher's stone or the fact that you learn to appreciate the wisdom of knowledge = power

fate/stay night (who ever thought that h games could have this much story? what can i say without spoiling the story?)

my top 10? hmmm....

1) Rurouni Kenshin, I love the OVA Reminiscene the most, but overall it rules!!
2) Great Teacher Onizuka, gotta love Onizuka Eikichi! He's just too funny.
3) Kimi Ga Nozomu Eien (The Eternity You Wished For aka Rumbling Hearts), very nice story line, romance isn't my thing but this is pretty good.
4) Full Metal Alchemist, it's got one of the best storylines and characters.
5) Naruto, it would've been round 2 or 3 but the fillers have kinda down graded my opinion of it.
6) Love Hina, very funny but has a nice romance story to it as well.
7) Bleach, it's got great animation and I love the idea of the zanpakuto, shikai and bankai etc.
8) Trigun, it would be a lot higher in my list but I think the voices put me off. It's pretty similar to Great Teacher Onizuka in a sense.
9) Ah My Goddess, I like this for the relationship between characters.
10) Gundam Wing, the policial side kept my attention and I liked the mobile suit type idea.

The order might change but they are my favourite all time, well at least the top 5.
