Maybey Kisame could blow lots of gallons of water out of his mouth, to reflect the explosion, kind of like one of those Tekken GAmes. The bigger the concentration of power, the more likely one is to win. A larger blast of fire, beats a smaller blast of fire. And we all know how strong Kisame is. If he could create a big enough blast he could reflect the attack and win the war. Although Deidara wold probably escape, using air as his specialty. Kisame would then create an ocean, and summon sharks to win the battle, since Deidara can't swim

And just summoning an ocean isn't enough. The ocean remains on the ground, and Deidara flies. Even if Kisame CAN summon sharks, they wouldn't be able to reach Deidara, due to the fact that they need to be in water to get oxygen.

Almost anything can destroy the world, but even without looking at it, even I know that only a mass chain of successive tsunamis could destroy the world. A large supply of chakra Kisame may have, but he doesn't have enough to make the world go poof.

Apart from this heated debate, i think kisame would actually be able to defeat deidara even if he used #18. Kisame could create a shield of water like gaara's shield of sand (it has to be HUMONGOUS) to do something about it. But it should be quite a tough task

Ohhhh...that's what you meant. Well of course it didn't actually blow up the village, but the explosion was big enough to encompass all of Suna. Gaara protected it with almost all of his special sand.

And even if Kisame can defend against #18, it would still take the greater part of his chakra. So either way, he doesn't win, due to stalemate, or defeat.

Well, not exactly a nuke, more like a compressed and adapted Bakuretsuufuu, molded into the shape of a bird, with the explosive properties completely compressed. That's probably why it's a bit larger than the other birds; Deidara most likely uses a form of compressed Bakuretsuufuu formed completely out of chakra to give the firepower to the bombs.

It's basically a pagoda house with a huge basement.

I will tell you the basic designs of the house. It looks like a normal luxurious house, along with 20 other consecutive houses on the street. You go inside the house, you go downstairs(immediately following the door). Once your down stairs, there is a door 5 feet to the right(Facing north). You enter the door, and this room is smaller. It has 2 doors, one which is a closet, and another which is a door on the right. You enter the door on the right. OK, you got it, go and eat some cookies or something and try to understand this.

Inside the door is a trap door, on the bottom of the room. You open the trap door, and then you walk down five steps. BTW, all of this is realistic, as I've been in a house that was exactly like that. This is where my fun scheme starts. Right now we are already underground, meaning all 20 houses full of bitches on your street are all above you, but your underneath your own house. Now, from the trapdoor entrence move about 10 feet forward, and about 5 feet left.

This is where I want to build something new. What I'm building is a walkway, that goes down 10 steps(Orochimaru castle like), and then a pathway appears leading to a door.(It is hard as hell to create it though. Then I build a room right there which has toys, and other stuff there. It's a secret room, in a secret place. Yeah, I know it sounds confusing, but it's awesome as hell. I wish I could explain it better.

That would be hard....there are water mains,sewage lines and electrical lines beneath a house,so I don't think building something that deep is possible in an urban area.

Hmmm...I know I'm late and all, but I would like to take a shot at Deidara vs. Kisame. As well as stating my insight on Itachi vs. Kisame.

Deidara vs. Kisame:
As you all know and have stated, Deidara possesses the # 18 bomb that is capable of destroying all or most of Suna. Hoshigaki Kisame, the demon shark, who fought very well against Gai and his team at only 30%, 30 ****** %! He used Suiton Bakushouha which is a giant tsunami wave that is extremely powerful. Kisame used this with only 30% chakra as well and there was no water at all surrounding him so this is very similar to Nidaime Hokage's jutsu, so that is saying alot about Kisame. His water jutus could very well be the most powerful of all shinobi in the world, but who knows. Kisame also used suiro no jutsu which is a water prison in which he trapped all of Gai's team...but each prison was guarded by individual mizu bunshins in which he created from the water. Kisame's last jutsu that was shown against Gai was Goshoku Zame which was the five shark jutsu that caught Gai in the whirlpool and was going to devour him. Kisame has shown some unique jutsus and extremely brute strength that can compare to even Gai! In fact, this was a 30% Kisame that was punching Gai down into the depths below, this shows he is definitely not to be taken lightly. I don't even know if Gai can beat Kisame without opening all 8 gates.
Ok, now we move onto Deidara who is an artistic jutsu user and can create spiders, large chocobos, or whatever he wants by using his unique clay. Of course he possesses the # 18 bomb which is very destructive, but if that's all Deidara has to offer, the guy is screwed. So far that is the only jutsu that we have seen that would even be somewhat of a threat to Kisame. Kisame at 30% put up quite an impressive fight and some nice jutsus, but that was 30%, if he had been at full strength who knows what jutsus he has up his sleeve. Besides the plethera of water jutsus, he is EXTREMELY powerful and strong, and has the damn Samehada which is enough to destroy any creature Deidara makes. Ok, if you wanna get into the topic about the # 18 bomb, why couldn't Kisame just create the giant ocean again and hide in it at the bottom, or better yet, just spit the largest amount of water he can at the bomb and it definitely won't penetrate all of that water and then kill kisame, you gotta be joking. Logically, if you blow up a bomb and it is surrouned by water, the area it will expand is very limited compared to what it would normally take up...so this gives Kisame enough room and time to jump away from the bomb after he spits the water. Also, if Kisame even gets close at all to Deidara...what the hell is he gonna do? Kisame would slice through his body so fast that Deidara won't be able to move or dodge, I mean Kisame doesn't look fast and all, but the guy sure is deceiving as hell and is on par with Gai's taijutsu from what it seems. I agree with you on most of what you said except that you made Deidara seem to be weak, perhaps weaker than he really is.
Personally I think he is most likely amongst the weaker member’s of Akatsuki, as we know that Sasori, Kisame, Itachi and the leader (not sure about Zetsu) are stronger than Deidara from what we know so far.
But I don’t think Kishimoto would put him up against the likes of Naruto and Kakashi, if all he has to offer are bombs out of clay keeping in mind he is handicapped from his encounter with Gaara.
I don’t believe we have seen Deidara's trump card as of yet and he may have alot of things up his sleeve, so it’s a bit too early to undermine his strength and abilities for now.

Well, remember again, Deidara is fairly new, while we've seen much more out of Kisame. Second, saying Kisame must have some hidden skills might work, but it also applies to Deidara.

Besides, it seemed more like to me that Deidara just couldn't make any big bombs right there. He can make most of the little ones, and a couple of big ones out of his hands, but other than that, he probably needs a little prep time, and for someone like Gaara, that's a nono.

And how would Kisame reach him anyhow, pray tell? Deidara's bird is capable of flight, who's to say it can't go up into da clouds?

Also, not too good of a shinobi? Good enough to be in the Akatsuki. When you look at the people who've joined so far, Sasori, Itachi, Kisame, then you sort of see exactly what kind of power you need to have to join.

And besides, Deidara seems more like a tactician type to me anyhow, while Kisame seems like the front-line person that you put in, well, the front line. What that means, if Deidara just keeps away from Kisame, he wins. The Bakushou Ha is a powerful move, yes, and so is the Goshoku Zame (And is it Goshoku, or Goshouroku? I was sure it said GOshouroku in the version of that chapter that I had...ah well), but can they reach Deidara?

Ya Luk, you are right, he may be able to run away from everybody but then that would make him look like quite the coward. And I also thought if you run away from the battle that technically means you have nothing to offer in the fight so you are just running, kind of like a forfeit, except this is somewhat different. I sure hope he has more to offer then what we have seen, lots more I mean, but I didn't mean that he is a "bad" shinobi, just that he doesn't compare so far to the other Akatsuki members. Anyways, i got a question for you guys.

As an American, I'm afraid I have to agree with Lukannan. Our dubbing abilities suck- and the quality (overall, there are plenty of exceptions, of course- but I'm talking about 50%+ dubs, not 100%) is pretty poor. Lately there has been a shift- a growing market in anime here in the good ol' USA. 5 years ago, it was a shelf- now it's a whole section of a book store. Our access is still pretty limited compared to other places, but it's growing.

As for our artistic abilities- that's debateable.

And as for the geographic distribution of the Narutofan forum users....didn't we have a poll or keep records from registration or something like that?

I don’t think he is underrated, just seen as mysterious and not many speak of him due to all the light shed on the recent members such as deidara, sasori.
Not forgetting of course all the focus on the idenity of the leader and the kisame/itachi character developments.
However all that would change once its his turn to shine, but I see him as the intelligence of the group who gathers data seeing as he travels alone perhaps he is one of the most intelligent members which kishimoto would leave in the shadows to linger.

Welcome to the club, and in answer to your question no, seeing as the leader has a ringed pattern in his eyes this is something that isnt found within the uchiha clan.
The leader is most likely to be the most powerful seeing as itachi himself doesnt answer back to him, however in some mangas the leader isnt always the strongest but the smartest.

Btw i know this may be old news to some but i came across some interesting fan art, of two akatsuki members who havent even been shown yet!
I question its validity seeing as there is no proof to back it up, but its worth checking out.
