well I think there is a good chance, just because we have not seen the siblings since the 1st arch. and a lot changed from the manga to anime... we see a tone more of Matsuri than we should have in the anime. in the manga she only had one panel. soooo you never know!~* I think there is more to this character than we all think. I'd like to see her in a battle myself, just to see her specialty. Maaya does such a good job on her voice.. too cute :wtf

*nodnod* I totally agree, I just wish people didn't have so much time on their hands to make an Anti Character AMV or FF or whatever. =/ I read a really depressing FF the other day, the girl who wrote it was a die hard Gaa/saku fan and she chucked Matsuri in there, and she basically put her down next to sakura the entire fic... =/ I was like Matsuri isn't weak any more... she is the same level as Sakura just in a different way (that we have not seen yet.) because if you notice in Shippudden she is actually wearing a Chuunin vest =/

Though she was really cute in the episode with her profound devotion to "Gaara-sama!!", a part of me wishes that the animators could've made her more......ninja-ish. She was acting like Sakura in Part 1 and I have nothing against Sakura, but before the timeskip, she was kinda annoying when she fangasmed. And also, Matsuri's most likely a Chunin now. All the Chunins we've seen so far in the manga/anime seem more mature than that.

But I guess it doesn't really matter, since Matsuri's younger than the other Chunins seen in action. She's probably around 12 in Shippuden, since I figure she was about 8 or 9 in the filler arc. So, woot! Matsuri is a 12-year-old Suna Chunin who has SKILLZ. And cool clothes XD

I though this moment was cute and they had the whole cannon moment from the manga as well which made me smile and I think actually in the manga, Matsuri tries to help him up as well but because he tries to be independent he tries to stand on his own.

I think it was more of the fact that... Gaara really isn't use to having people touch him period. He did say, 'I'm fine' when he shrugged her off. I don't think he meant it that way, Gaara is just a harsh natured person and is not accustom to having people to call 'friends' Naruto did change that...and I really do think we will see somemore from matsuri judging from the many appearnces in the arc (where she has not shown up in the manga.) She is cute, and I think she is cute for Gaara, she was his first friend after all.

guys, I think what really happened was that Matsuri wanted Gaara to stay still, and not stand up and injure himself even more. that's when Naruto steps in and helps Gaara out. I dunno why, it's just that part didn't really get to me.

and Matsuri was so cute in this episode! ^_^ Matsuri was Gaara's student, if she was trying to help him up, it only shows that she cares. But now we really know that Matsuri's in love with Gaara.

btw, Gaara's face was so funny, it's the kind of face that screams out "am I being punk'd" or something XD

You know what's really annoying is that she pointed out NOTHING that involved Gaamatsu and just added onto the anti-gaamatsu that wasn't even there. And plus, Sasusaku is one of the most popular pairings on naruto. If she's comparing GaaraxMatsuri to SasukexSakura, she's saying a lot there.

Did anyone else notice that she completely edited out the part where Temari told Gaara to stay still? did anyone else notice that she COMPLETELY edited out the Gaamatsu that happened before that? Also, when Matsuri went to help Gaara, she placed her arms on his back, I think this refers to what Temari wanted, and wanted Gaara to stay still and not hurt himself anymore than necessary. Totally makes for sense... plus Gaara said "he was fine", not "I want you to burn in Hell" like the other obsessed, Gaara-fangirls that for some reason will never see that they can't marry him.
