Alot of people dont give Nami credit. Alot of fellow OP fans ive spoken with dont think very highly of her.

Her accomplishments.
1. Defeated Ms.Doublefinger, a DF user and the second strongest female in Baroque Works.

2. Defeated priest Satori's brother Hotori. Hotori used various dials.

3. Was the only strawhat to not be completely owned at one point and time by Enel and his subordinates. Thus being the sole survivor of Enel's game(along with Enel) despite everyone else in the game being far superior to herSupposedly).

4. Held off Enel with her Clima-Tact and smarts until Sanji and Usopp came to the rescue.

5. Was a key part in defeating Enel as Luffy would of never gotten up there without her help.

6. Fought through a bunch of Enies Lobby Marines and World Government personel.

7. Defeated Kalifa, a DF/Rokushiki user.

8. The reaosn the strawhats made to to the grandline, let alone are still sailing it.

9. Only strawhat to never be defeated in a fight.

10. Beat usopp in the Arlong Arc(yes ik she staged it but Usopp didnt know that until after fact, had she not staged anything he'd of died long ago.)

11. Stole Kumadori's key and escaped being defeated/killed until Chopper arrived.

Anyway, she may not be a tank character like Luffy, Zoro, or Sanji but she certainly isnt weak. I think alot of people judge herbased on her being easy to worry, but when its time to get serious she kicks ass. It doesnt matter how you win a fight or suceed in doing things because in the end you still did it. She's strong but in a different way.

Thats how I see Nami. What are your opinions about Nami?

Well, she did beat a member of the cp9 so she's very strong for a normal human.

im CERTAIN she's underrated. she's certainly not strong, but she's easily the smartest of the crew, robin may come close, but still.

Nami is very underestimated, but she doesnt need any more screen time imo.

OT: gratz for surviving yagura :)

Nami is incredibly strong, compared to the average pirate. She just happens to look weak standing next to Luffy and the others.

She's certainly not very impressive (and thus underestimated) because she lacks stuff that enhances physical abilities or destructive power to a new level like Luffy, Zoro, Sanji, Chopper and Franky.

But her real skills do not lie in combat anyway, although her climatact gives her a tactical edge.

Just don't judge her by battle skills, cause it's not fair since this isn't her strongest field in the first place, especially when she's standing next to Luffy and Co.

To be honest, Nami has the biggest case of "Job Aura" in One Piece. C'mon, if Calipha or Doublefingers were truly serious, Nami would be dead now, ya know I'm right. Nami fought someone with the strength to pull a train car together and move faster than the human eye can see, and still won because her enemy suddenly became incompetent.

However, Nami ain't a bad fighter tho, I just wish her victories were more realistic. Because I know she could become alot better without the need of Job Aura. I see the potential.

Nami is far from being a normal human.

She looks pretty damn normal compared to Luffy, Zoro and others.

She has a strong weapon that suits her weather reading skills but she is not gret. Kalifa was the weakest on the scale. I have read the doublefinger chapters several times and have no idea how she won.

I agree with the job aura though. Miss doublefinger was pwning and playing.

calipha can soru and rankykaku and all kinds of stuff yet resorted to her Devil fruit when she didnt need it to beat nami

Nami is gifted with intelligence, charm, and most importantly of all, physique. More importantly, she's useful.

Nami is one lucky lady.

Nami is the Crew's black mage. Just because she isn't equiped with Greatswords or Katanas or Spears or some other legendary weapon and only rods, she is constantly misunderestemated.

She looks pretty damn normal compared to Luffy, Zoro and others.Intellectually, she's a genius. If Nami were as strong as Zoro and Sanji and the like, don't you think she'd be a little too .. well, mary sue? (by that I mean perfect at everything)

I think she's just fine right now as is. If her opponents insist on underestimating her, then that's they're own damn fault and you can't really critize her for taking advantage of the situation given.

I like Nami as a character but as a fighter, she is the OP equivalent of Squirrel Girl (wiki her).

She is alright, if her opponents were fighting her seriously she wouldn't have beat Kalifa or Doublefinger though.

People here dont seem to realize how much of an advantage people not taking you seriously can be in battle.

Nami's cuteness and weak appearance are useful in battle. Part of tactics.

And its not like you can really blame Ms. Doublefinger for not taking her seriously.

Nami: Now prepare to die!! *flowers come out of Clima Tact*
Doublefinger: WTF ??

how are people underestimating her? physically she and usopp are weak and they've noth admitted it. yet they're able to win fights primarily because their weakness forces them to rely on strategy and weapons and in the end there's no denying that they survive at the very least
