I give this one to Lee. In a standered fight with no preknowledge. Lee is vunurable in the begining because he couldn't release the wieghts or gate untill getting througholy wooped. Lee however knows what Neji can do. Asuming before the Garra fight Neji has no clue what Lee can do. Lee would bring everything out. Neji tries to spiral it and get fucked over when Lee comes at him to fast to block everything. After that Lee keeps the heat on intill Neji can't spiral and just gets pumaled.

People think hell let him open the gates because no one ever tries to stop them. More importantly Lee wouldn't need the gates. Even Lee without the gates would be fast enough. If not why do you expect that Neji can proec himself from the gates? They get started Neji is pummuled.

Lee with out the weights on his legs is to fast for Neji, so gates would even be worse for him.

I don't think so, the Byakugan could interpret demon fox Naruto's speed just fine. If Lee uses standard taijutsu, Kaiten rotation not only blocks, but repels the attack and knocks Lee on his ass. Insert 8 trigrams 64 palms immediately afterward then neji wins.

All bets are off if Lee opens gates immediately at the beginning of the battle, he would probably win unless Neji can really do 8 gates closing like in that one video game NH3.

And don't tell me Neji is too slow, if he can strike 64 times in like 10 seconds, that's friggin' fast. When they are enhanced by chakra it is very powerful too.

I think Lee would win this one with the gates opened. Without the gates I think neji would be able to detect his movements and block them with kaiten. He is a great taijutsu user as well after all, taijutsu users do not tend to be slow. If Neji would be able to see Lee when Lee opened 5 of his gates he would have a chance to beat him, but I think only sharingan may have a chance to see that level of speed. Lee knows Neji is a very tough opponent. He will not waste any time with weights on, he will directly move to his supreme technique: Ura Renge. Lee with 4/5 of his gates open is far too fast for Neji.

I might have to give this to Lee. He did work on a way to beat Neji, but the reverse isn't true. His Kaiten doesn't last forever and Lee has stamina. I don't think Neji can defeat 5 Gates and an Ura Renge no matter how much he spins.

Honestly Dudes! Rock Lee can open 5 maybe even more of the 8 chakra gates, increasing his power ten-fold with each gate! He can fight while he's unconscious, asleep, and -snip-. He can runs for years on end, and has absolutley no idea what rythm means, enabling Rock Lee to create completly random bursts of taijutsu, making it near impossible to parry, block or evade.

As for Neji, even as a side branch member, Neji has master many if not all of the Byakugan bloodline moves, and has even created a way to protect his one only blind spot. Neji has the ability to close or shut down, all the pinpoint chakra receptors within your body, and then some. And his style of jukken is unmatched within the Hyuga clan.

But I rekon that Rock Lee will win hands down, and not just because of the fact that he is BY FAR my favourite character, but Rock Lee will just keep coming at you, and coming at you, and coming at you untill he keels over, and he'll still be coming at you with his lotus style then as well!

Neji may have been able to beet Rock when they were 1st year genin's, but Rock Lee will most deffinatly wipe the floor with Neji Hyuga's ass from any point after that!

im not exactly sure this is the right place to post this but ive had this arguement for so long and i want to lay it to rest. please dont just post because its your favorite character and you want to back him, i only want serious debaters.

if in episode 49 undubbed Rock Lee had got neji who would have won. in my opinion i think Rock Lee would have won simply because there is no way of stopping the full lotus. My friend's arguement is this:

Neji would beat Rock Lee because the byakugan can see all his movements there fore rock lee wouldn't be able to touch him. Also he said the only reason Rock Lee got the chance to use full lotus is because Gaara is cocky and his fighting style entises his opponent to attack. he does not have much of an offensive game when hes not going serious.

Neji would simply use the rotation whenever Rock Lee gets too close or fast for Neji.He will not be able to react that quick do to his speed therefor he would be on the ground cause of the rotation while neji prepares his 8 trigrams.once he starts there is no way for lee to get out of it.he will feel sharp pain as his gates are being closed.once he is reduced to his normal(yet still fast)speed neji would mess with his mind.he would doubt his abilites to be a true ninja due to no gen or nin justsu.once he is mad lee will get foolish and do a frontal attack and start using some crazy taijustsu mives on him.neji(being a master of taijutsu himself)will dodge all his moves while hitting lee at the same time.overall lee will get tired of all the hits and will slip up and neji will finish him off with a hit in the heart.i hope that answers your question!

let me see if i can explain this right...neji is a genius and i finally figured out why..most taijutsu specialist are usually short range fighter hence hand to hand combat..but neji on the other hand is different..his 64 palms gives his reach a longer extention..so that right there puts him at a advantage over lee..lets see wut us..he also has rotation which some of u know as his eight trigrams heavenly spin which gives his the absolute defense which some might even debate is better then gaara's sand...so that also gives neji the advantage because to my knowledge lee has no defense..pretty much neji over powers lee in pretty much anything...if u think pure speed can beat somebody im guessing u had ur eyes close when lee was fighting gaara cause he didnt win that much.........:laugh :laugh :laugh

Not completely true. At least, not the way I understood it.

Sasuke only questioned what kind of chakra was in Lee's arm because he couldn't imagine someone being that strong just like he couldn't imagine someone being as fast as Lee. Remember, he used his Sharingan later to try to see what kind of "trick" Lee was doing. When Lee takes off his weights, I don't believe that it releases chakra; that's just Lee's muscles.

I do agree that Lee is able to use chakra to increase strength and speed though (otherwise, releasing Gates to allow more chakra wouldn't do anything at all for him).

I give this one to Lee. In a standered fight with no preknowledge. Lee is vunurable in the begining because he couldn't release the wieghts or gate untill getting througholy wooped. Lee however knows what Neji can do. Asuming before the Garra fight Neji has no clue what Lee can do. Lee would bring everything out. Neji tries to spiral it and get fucked over when Lee comes at him to fast to block everything. After that Lee keeps the heat on intill Neji can't spiral and just gets pumaled.

Kaiten doesn't start with the rotation, it starts by expelling chakra at the point of attack. Neji can just wait for Lee to punch or kick, then block it.

Neji can see when Lee is about to open the gates and just stop him before he does. Or he can just seal up the chakra in Lee's legs so he can't use them to run fast if he opens that gates.

Currently, Lee cannot win. Considering that Lee will have to use numbers of gates to stand a chance, he can't win. Here's the scenario.

Lee starts by immediately taking off his weights, because he knows that he stands no chance against Neji with them on. Neji is surprised that Lee's weights were so heavy, but prepares to fight. Lee attacks (he doesn't know the full extent of Neji's powers either), and, by the time he gets behind Neji, he's smashed away by Neji's strong rotation technique. Lee notices that Neji's too much for him to handle without any gates, and opens the First Gate. He then attacks Neji at full power, not currently using the Primary Lotus. However, he is still easily blocked and the attack reversed; he decides that in his current form Primary Lotus will not work. So he opens another gate and then prepares to stave off Neji. Neji prepares to attack as Lee opens the Third Gate, and then Neji attacks with Eight Trigrams: One Hundred and Twenty Eight Palm Chakra Point Attack. Lee, however, dodges with his new skill, and attempts to hit Neji in the back; Neji uses rotation and throws him off again. He then leaps forward to try to attack Lee, but Lee gets up, dodges the attack and opens the Fourth Gate. He then gets near Neji and attempts to do the Hidden Lotus. There are a lot of scenarios to this fight. Normally, Neji will take this. Neji did not show any surprise at Lee's speed when he took his weights off, and he matched Naruto in Kyuubi mode, so I think he'll be able to handle Lee.

Now, with the gates open, Lee will probably be too fast, and Neji can't use Kaiten forever. However, Lee isn't just going to sit there and allow Lee to open the gates, 'cause they take time. In fact, if Lee tries, it will be the perfect opportunity to use Eight Trigrams: Sixty Four Palms, and seal off his chakra. Neji still wins.

If Lee is drunk, Neji will probably lose unless he can inflict enough pain to make him sober again, which a well-time Kaiten might do. But if he can't pull it off, drunken Lee wins.
