I'm hoping to achieve something great in the field of science, if not that, be one of the greatest people in my area of expertise.

I want to evolve the world... And i'm gonna do my best at it too!

I'll see what I can do after my journey. I hope I will succeed though. I don't care if I don't go down into history, or if people will see me as an evil man. If I succeed, they'll realize sooner or later the great man I was.

I just want to live a happy life. Becoming great is one of the things I must accomplish in order to live a happy life.

I would love to make a difference, but not be famous.

I want to be recognized, but not praised.
I want to be able to go any place and people will know of my accomplishments, but not have people stalk me.

And I'm modest.. so too much praise makes me uncomfortable.

I won't change the world, but I hope to be a relatively famous architect. I don't want to be a celebrity, I couldn't stand it.

I never do anything for greatness. I do something cause I feel like doing it, and is something that should be done due to responsiblility. Doing something so ppl can recognize me isn't the life I want.

I know I'm going to make some sort of difference in this world. I may not become famous, but I know that at one point or another something that I do (it could be anything from a small seemingly insignificant act to a large generous act) will effect someone in a positive way that could have made the biggest difference in their life.

I think everyone has that quality in them. Flashing a smile at some random stranger who is depressed might make their day a little brighter. Even if it seems insignificant, it made a difference.

Make a difference in the world? Yeah, I would like to, but chances of it happening are next to nothing.

Best thing I can do is encourage my friends with their talents, and perhaps they may make a difference in the world.

i'm not sure, but it never hurts to try to make a difference for the better. ^^

Then again, every single time i've become determined to do something, i've succeeded...i think i certainly do have potential.

I'd be happy getting a nice peice of ass to grow old with and tell my grand kids stories about all the time I wasted watching anime when I was a kid.

Will I make a difference in the world? Probably not. In my country? Odds say no. In my city? Maybe. On the street where I will live? I hope so. Not wanting to make a difference is laziness and uselessness.

No it isn't, not wanting to make a difference means you're happy the way it is. And I don't know about you, but as long as I'm happy I can say I have a good life.

Not wanting to make a difference invites naivity. Yes, I want to make sure I have a happy life too, but what about the people around me? If I see them going through hard times, can I make a difference in their lives to help them through? I may never save the world, but I can help a neighbor out. Anyways, that's what I meant when I posted my comment.

Okay, if you look at it like that okay, I was looking at it in a personal view. If you include people next to yourself and your family. But then there still are examples in which people who do not want to make a diffrence are not lazy and/or useless.

For example if you could make a diffrence for someone else, but by doing so you put yourself in a more difficult perhaps even dangerous situation. Most people wouldn't do that. I don't even know if I would do that...

We're all born with a porpuse. It can be a small one or a big one. But we eventually are born to fulfill our purpose!

I don't even know if I would do that...Maybe, but I would rather I risked myself than to live my life knowing I could have helped but I didn't. But then again, I don't know if I would be able to either because I have never been put in a dangerous situation where I had to make a choice. Only time will tell if I have the guts to stand up to my words.

Greatness... what is greatness? Some people live only to tell about the turmoil plaguing the earth.

The oil producing capacity of the world is expected to peak, and then gas prices will skyrocket, as will power costs. Global warming will increase, melt the polar icecaps, and submerge this beautiful state I live in.

But things are always like that. There's always a meteor about to crash, a doomsday comet, a nuclear threat... something. And we're still here, right? I like to live thinking that what I do today will make tomorrow better. If everyone lived liked they were going to die, this world wouldn't be a very nice place to live.

Besides... even if they were right... wouldn't you prefer knowing you lived a life where you've helped many people? That your name was spoken somewhere, and because of that, people smiled? This is OUR world, dammit. And if the world is in a crisis, then the world will get out of it. That's who we are; that's what we do.

That's exactly what I desire; to be respected, but not famous at all. The last thing I want to be is famous, although I would like to make a difference in this world... someday.

I have urges to become great, but if it means to neglect those who are close to me, I would rather be small in order to embrace those who need me.
