Kankurou doesn't have much to his actual personality as of yet, though he's obviously a talented Shinobi and his Jutsus with his two puppets are amazing (I especially loved his fight with Sakon/Ukon... I bet they know what it's like to be teamed up on now ;)).

By the way I had a cool idea for a fanfic all about Kankuro and this little girl who idolies him and is kind of has a haku to Zabusa relationship to kankuro. She is extramanly talented at using differnt dolls that she has over a 100 of. Anyways the story is all about the life story of both of them. I haven't started writing it though.

Yeah, those're the ones. There's actually a surprising amount of movies about killer dolls, but only a few that specifically involve puppets. The first three movies weren't too bad, which is probably why only the last four are ever shown on television now. :notrust

I don't have any specific reason why this relates to Kankurou. My mind has just been saying, "Puppets! Kankurou! Puppet Mater!" Especially since his fight with Sasori. It's probably going to be proven wrong but I'm mostly convinced Sasori has turned himself into a puppet.

I'm bored so I feel like posting a theory/discussion/overly thought out crack delusion.

We have Kankurou and Sasori. In the battle with Sasori you find out he made Kankurou's puppets and many others. Which would lead one to think that there are a lot of Puppeteer nin in Sand.

So, what's your theory about the Puppeteers of Sand? Since it doesn't seem like we'll be learning much about it anytime soon.

Mine is based mostly on fanon and a few good fics that I liked. I think that Sand has a Puppet Troupe. Just like any performers they put on shows, but they're also nin so in between the shows they also go out on missions. But then that's just what I like to think.

Kankurou is one of my faves. I'll never forget first watching him in the Chuunin Prelims where he was tied up by that guy's body and revealed that he was actually Karasu in disguise and he jumped out the back from the bandages and strangled that ninja with Karasu. That was mos def ninja tactics at its finest. Then I was really blown away when Kankurou came to Kiba's rescue, amazing scene, especially in the anime. Its unforunate puppeteering was kind of ruined and lost people's respect by the whole Chiyo/Sasori fight, it lost all the ninja tactics where it was just resorting to who had the most/strongest/ most powered-up puppets.

But overall, I major heart Kanku.

Yeah, for the Sasori fight, it's kind of funny that he lost respect. Seeing as Sasori MADE all of the puppets that Kankurou was using, so of course he was bound to lose. But people seem to forget that he was one of the three that was promoted all the way to jounin after the time skip, so I can't wait to see his next fight. :D

My reasons:
1. They're the forgotten member of both of their teams.
2. Neither of them even has a last name! Unless "of the Desert" is actually Kankurou's last name.
3. They both play with some sort of string. BDSM galore!
4. Their personalities contrast with each other. From what I can gather, Tenten is more serious and quiet while Kankurou is seemingly more cocky and talkative.

Gaara's VA is decent, it fits Gaara, although it misses the underlying depth Akira Ishida gave to Gaara. Gaara also sounds kinda like a shady carsalesman... :P

Alright, I found a video of the 20th dubbed episode online and yeah...Kankurou's voice is a bit off. It's not nearly as bad as I expected it to be, but it really sounds more Kiba than Kankurou.

But I still look forward to seeing Kankurou's subtle humor and badassness in episodes to come.

I anxiously await the 21st dub to go online...I hear that Dosu sounds like a cowboy. I don't think I'll EVER stop laughing if that's the case. XD
