Contest Title: FanClubs Banner and UserBar Contest
Contest Starts: January 21st (with this post)
Contest Ends: February 19th (end of submissions)
Contest Voting Starts: February 24th (after the submission thread is closed)
Contest Voting Ends:February 26th (that gives 2 full days for votes to be posted)



Contest Theme: Submit a new banner or userbar for the Fanclub of your choice.

Eligible Fanclubs:
-Naruto Fanclubs
-Bleach Fanclubs
-One Piece Fanclubs
-General Fanclubs
-Joke Fanblubs
-Member Fanclubs
-Other Anime/Manga Fanclubs

Non-Eligible Fanclubs:
-Bathhouse Fanclubs
-Blender Fanclubs

Eligible Members:
-Registered Member
-Member of the fanclub you are entering a submission for before the contest start date (please don't join a fanclub simply to be able to enter in the contest).
-Member must not be section-banned from either Fanclubs or Art Department

Submission Rules:
-One entry per fanclub per member
-Three entries maximum per member (that means you can submit 1 banner per fanclub for up to 3 different fanclubs total)
-Entries cannot contain any text or images that would be in violation of forums rules
-Entries must meet the contest requirements for size/theme
-Entries must be NEW. Entries of banners/userbars that already exist will not be accepted.

Are you a member of a fanclub you would love to be able to tell the forums about?
Do you have an idea for a fanclub banner/userbar that you'd love to pimp?
Do you own a fanclub and have been wanting to get in some fresh new banners/userbars for it?
Been wanting to try your hand at creating some for a fanclub but were waiting for a contest?

Well here's your chance!

For the next two weeks, members of the Fanclubs can show off their favorite fanclub by answering the challenge put out to all those eligible, by the Art and Fanclub departments!

We know we've got some hidden as well as popular talent on these forums when it comes to artistic and graphic ability. And we know we've got some very loyal FC members!

This is a serious challenge. Take your time and really show us and your fanclub what you got!
Both Banners and UserBars are allowed.
Animated, single frame, PhotoShop, MSPaint, Fanart or Real stock - YOUR CHOICE! Let your creativity go nuts!
Your only limitations are in the (H)x(W) and file sizes!


At the end of the two weeks, we'll vote and then we'll announce the winners.


How do I enter?
-Go to the special subforum in the Art Battledome (http://forums.narutofan.com/forumdisplay.php?f=167) created for this contest.
-Create ONE new thread(you can always edit it later ^_^) to contain all your entries (see rules about # of entries allowed).
-Include both the banner/userbar and the fanclub it is for.

How many winners?
-There will be 1 winning entry chosen for EACH FANCLUB section. That means we'll have 6 winners total.

What about prizes?
-Prizes? You mean that being the creator of the winning entry, thus highlighting that Fanclub for all to see, you still hope for something more?
Well, there will be prizes (more about that later)

Nope it means that you (Sarutobi) can make 1 GB submission, but you can make up 3 submissions total - they just can't all be for GB.

So you can submit for GB, Sarutobi FC and my fc :laugh see?

so harley does that mean that if there is a winner for each FC section....that if you create 3 banners/userbars for 3 different FCs in the member FC section for example does that mean you can either increase the chance of you winning in that section or does it limit your chances of winning in other sections? like are you only allowed 3 entries overall or can you limit it to being 3 entries per FC section?

I believe it was decided that there would be 1 prize per person. And each person was allowed 3 entries total.

So if you win on more than 1 section, then the 2nd winning prize would go to the next most voted winner. Thanks for asking that Tsumi - I should have clarified. :nod

I'm assuming the "nope" is for the first question not the second, but the explanation only confirms that Sarutobi can't submit three for the same club.

Since I've had a couple members thinking that there is also a limit per fanclub, I want to make sure that I'm right when I'm telling them otherwise.

That is correct.


Submission Rules:
-One entry per fanclub per member

The fanclub itself can have as many entries in as it has members, however each member can only submit 1 entry for that fanclub.

Each forum member can submit 1 entry per fanclub, for up to 3 fanclubs.

So the total number of entries 1 person can have is 3, but you can't have all 3 of those entries be for the same fanclub.

That's the only one that I know of. But they only let you post thumbnails of images (which do link to the full-sized version; you just can't post the full-sized version itself), so I'm not sure if that will work for you or not.

This is just a techinicality, but I wasn't sure if it made a difference. One of the banners I want to enter is taller than wider, so can it be up to 500 pixels in height and 200 in width, or can it still only be 200 pixels tall? Probably a silly question, but I just want to make sure. :laugh

Since there is the possibility of 6 winners total, there will be no 2nd and 3rd place rewards. It would get to be way too much.

However, if no submissions are made for a specific section, then we can roll that reward over to another person from a group that had more entries.

I have received in just the past 3 days, SEVEN PM's from people asking me to postpone the end of the contest until AFTER the Naruto episode next week.

Each one gave the same answer when I asked them why... their reasons were that they wanted to be able to get images FROM the new episode to come out.


I am now posing this idea to you.

Since some of you have already posted your entries (which are still editable, by the way) I'd like to get your thoughts.



Would the majority of you all like to have one more week to submit your entries so that you can have new stock from the first episode of Naruto:Shippuden available to you as well?


If the majority of you think that is another way to spruce up the place and have some fun, then make your voices heard.


Personally, I think it's a great idea (I can't wait to see all the submissions!!), but again- I'll leave this up to you!!
