Now that I look at it, there really isn't that much chapters for them to animate before they catch up again. So far, I've counted about 71 chapters. That may seem like alot, but with the way they eat through chapters so fast, it's only a matter of time before we might have to go back into filler. I seriously hope Pierrot slows down this time around.

I guess what I'm tryin to ask you guys is this. Do you think the anime will stick with canon material and end it the way the manga does, or pull an FMA and end it a different way?

No, they'll stick it out with any means necessary...err, well, they'll just continue on with the main canon storyline. I couldn't possibly imagine the anime deriving from the manga, and it just seems illogical that they'd do that.

I doubt they will pull a FMA. Expect plenty of fillers.

Expect the Mod Souls to get involved with more than half of all Arrancar fights from now on and expect tons of filler fight scenes.

Hell, the anime might even send their very own original Arrancar platoon to stall for episodes.

I don't expect another huge Bounto-esque side quest, no, but there definitely aren't enough chapters if they continue at the current rate.

I think Tenshi's right...There's just not enough canon plot for them to keep it going. I think they're making a good move by introducing some more of the characters, but I also think they're going to just make shit up to make it longer. More Arrancar, different things with the Vaizards...It's just a matter of how long it'll take before they get there.

But I don't think they're going to take it on an FMA route. I think they'll get back to the manga plot as soon as they can afford to without cramping the manga.

Even though it's probably not going to be something completely made up like the Bountou, I hope that they story quality keeps up and it doesn't turn into a Naruto-filler-syndrome... :cry

Of course there are going to be anime-original Arrancar. But I'm pretty sure the really filler will be in the manga fights. I really expect them to make a big deal out the emotions of the Arrancar and really milk Ichigo's fight with the spanish Arrancar and his emotional conflict.

I was really surprised to see the mods souls last episode. I fairly certain the novelty will wear off sooner than you'd think and be left for them to practically disappear from the anime.

i would say expect longer fight sequences

I think that they might put in some more fillers because they are catching up kind of fast.

It's a lose-lose situation for them: If they give us a decent filler arc, people will complain, If they put the mod souls in, people will complain. There's only so much you can stretch out of fight scenes..

I'm hoping that as well ^^

*sigh*

Personally, as long as they don't give us shit like the Naruto fillers, I guess I'll be fine.

there's plenty of room for some extra bits, I think they'll get to the end of the first arrancar arc bit and then stall for some extra time with original arrancar related material probably.

I really hope that they won't have another huge filler arc, but rather do like they do in One Piece. When it's about to catch up with the manga, they make only a few filler episodes, instead of a huge arc. I think that's more pleasent to watch since you don't have to wait a whole year for the canon.

Yep.

They can stretch out both the fighting & training sequences. And throw in a couple flashback scenes here and there. They can also delay or take a break from airing a certain episode. I remember last year where one episode aired after having week off. Then it was off for another 2 weeks before coming back with a 1 hour special. :huh

Whatever they do. I hope they don't pull a FMA. Or worse ... a Inuyasha :notrust

I'm guessing about 15 episode before we have a filler arc again.

Yeah and filler arrancar and vaizards will be a possibility.

Why? So they'll have enough material to make one more episode?

While i'm here, I think the end of season 6 will be when it diverts from the manga
