You in a swimming pool vs Piranha

u are in a basic 12 foot deep pool and there are 3 piranha in it.

The pool is sealed on all the edges with glass until u can successfully grab the piranha and put them in a nets hanging all around the glass.

Think u could do it?

pirahnas are scared of movement and only eat things stnaing still so unless you are jsut sitting like a duck they dont hurt you, if you move around then they dont bite you, i meant move as in ike swimming, if you are just kinda sinkin to he floor they would eat you..

I've heard about the cow thing too. It's pretty scary how dangerous Piranhas can be. I don't think I'd be able to get out. First I'd have to not get eaten, and even if I don't get eaten, I still have to catch them and I'm not agile at all in the water. :S

i remembered watching a show about them and they were eating a dead carcass, and it probably took them at least few mins to clean it out. Yes, there were many of them too..

This wouldn't be a very good situation for me to be in, water is out of my element. However Piraha's won't attack Humans unless 1) They are very hungry and have gone w/out food for days, or 2) They are provoked. So this almost solely depends apon the last time they've been fed. fully fed to hungry I should do fine (unless i bump one or something. Very hungry+ and I may not fend well. I suppose I could chunk a bunch of food at them, unless that's against the rules.

They attack by quickly swiming up, making a small bite, backing off. In semi-random circles at pretty decent speeds. Also, even if they didn't fish react insanely fast to a hand coming at them. I've actually say in lakes before and tried to catch fish by letting them bite me. One of them got my nipple and it hurt like hell for 2 weeks. Any time my hand broke the surface of the water, they were out of there. Even if I put my hand still underwater I couldn't catch them.

Due to the difficulty, plus the fact that underwater my body won't clot, a few bites from them would eventually make me bleed out before I could get them. I'll be straining and exercising, so my heart will be beating faster making me bleed out even faster than normal.

Although... if we are talking about Golden Age Gooba, Midlife Crisis Gooba, or Gooba Prime the answer changes.

But I am a good swimmer, could avoid them for awhile, but they'd get me.

Drowning by definition is the lungs filling with liquid (usually water). Fish do not have lungs, so leaving it out on land would be the equivalent of suffocating it.

I don't know why people think they can catch Piranha in the water. What the hell are you going to do? Trying to catch the Piranha with your head above water takes time and concentration since your seeing a reflection, and putting your head below water is a bad idea.

You could drown a fish if you ripped its gills off then when it wouldn't extract the oxygen from water. Drowning is suffocating underwater which you can do too any fish.

Anyway on the topic I don't think I would win. They wouldn't bite and cling to me they bite and swim away they have greater mobility and they are too small to grab.
