What makes it so special that it is allowed to have undeclared nuclear weapons for years but decide who is and isn't allowed to even have the capability to even use nucelar energy for other reasons?

Granted, Iran is unstable and has professed a desire to destroy Israel, but it's not as if it can use a nuke to that end without destroying Palestine, which would be rather redundent.

This is going to lead to yet another war in the Middle East... which we will no doubt stick our noses in since we defend Israel to the hilt no matter what.

I should imagine this will be a helluva a catalyst for terrorist recruitment.

It is not a rumor. The US and Isreal had already did something and they had taken 6 Iranians into custody. I do hope that this would not escalade further. But the US had already put US Carrier in that region.

However, with the newly elected Democrat Congress they warned Condoleeza Rice that the Administration would face a Constitutional crisis if they decided to attack Iran without first going to the Congress.

We'll have to wait and see.

Right after that he had already deploy US Aircraft Carrier to Iranian's coasts and Anti-Missiles in that region. He already did numerous raids on Iranians in Iraq and captured a few Iranians. Iran bought anti aircraft missiles not from 1960s soviet tech but more upto date russian ones which are still among the best in the world. Add the fact that russia have basically come out and said that Iran can have "As many as they want" I guess a blank cheque on arms. British ships de mining the area between Iran and Arab peninsula (forget the name of the straight right now) and a new American aircraft carrier heading in the reagion it is putting things on a precarious road where one slip could lead to a War in Iran or even a renewal of the cold war.
