well i just got my first cell phone yesterday and i dont really know how to personalize it. Can someone tell me how to get ringtones i've downloaded on my computer to my phone. its a nokia if that helps.

RUn to the local phone store and get yourself a nokia cable kit. for about 23 Dollar.

It connects trough usb and it comes with a handy cdrom with software.

also all the sounds should be in MIDI format...but on nokias the MIDI level is limited to 16 tones only as with most phones...this of course not the case with ericssons...boasting a full 32 tone capability^^

so u may need a program to ''tone down'' ur midi files

I heard there are some programs where you can create your own ringtones by converting midi files. But very costly it is...

I use my laptop's infrared controller, to download the ringtones to my phone. It costs me nothing, only i have to search a long time before i find i good one.

I gave up on ringtones, I remember a couple months ago, I was searching for a proper free ringtone. Took me an entire day before I gave up and finally bought one.

Hahaha, many crappy sites i've encountered say this "To download you have to register first". After the registration, it still asks for your country, phone, provider. Costs 1,50 per ringtone.. :eek:

i know of a program which can convert ringtones and midi and its completely free^^

ill post the name once i find it in my junk folder^^'

yeah i have a erricson and its a very handy one for polyphonic tunes
i have the sasuke theme song using on it i did it by wap because i dont
wanna search a whole day for a free one and as it said before by: Aoi
loads of sites still charge money for it after registering.

The only thing that is a bummer for me is it wont let me get hakura kanata
on my mobile it says its to big but i removed so much it has to be able to get
on the mobile now but for some reason it wont let me.
