Comparing arcs.

With the anime coming up on the new arc, I'd like to know. For the manga readers, which do you like better? The Soul Society arc or the current arc (from SS beyond)? I don't want to end up overestimating the upcoming arc and being disappointed. (If it's not obvious, I don't read the manga)

In order not to spoil you, let me just say this.

There are around 70 chapters yet to be animated. The general opinion(not mine) now is that the first half of the chapters are good but the later half is below average.

I'd consider the Soul Society arc to be better, overall. The upcoming arc(s) have been fairly disappointing, though there are good parts, but IMO, it hasn't been very good.

The current arc is good enough that it'd look cool animated but not good enough to be read in the weekly manga format.

The current arc is good enough that it'd look cool animated but not good enough to be read in the weekly manga format.That's my opinion as well. I think seeing the fights animated is going to look great, but I thought the overall story and plot progression of the SS arc was a little better, although it had it's ups and downs, too.
