This is from what we've seen. Tsunade is kind of a no-brainer. She is the Hokage for a reason and her fight against Kabuto was rather unfair/tainted (it's like comparing Deidara to Gaara)... but there is now the fact that she is over this hemophobia. Sakura is basically a mini-Tsunade. As far as we've seen, her skills are basically on the same level, she just mostly lacks the seal and regeneration of Tsunade and probably less chakra. Who I've placed as two and three, I believe, can be switched. Both are Jounin, but only Temari has shown any real skill. Her techniques are deadly and can be used at a range or even close. She has a Kuchiyose; Kamatari's destruction is beyond any kind of recognition and she also demonstarted as a Genin that she had a decent amount of Chakra to have used three Ninjutsu -and- a Summon. Might not seem like a lot, but that is for a Genin. Kurenai we haven't seen much of, but we can't ignore the fact that she is a Jounin rank, she is a master of Genjutsu and judging from her Databook entry, she has fairly high skills all around. We can't really compare them to anyone else, but we can look at them for Kurenai herself and they are impressive. She wouldn't be a master/specialist for nothing. Finally, we have Anko. Only a Special Jounin, but she was skilled enough to be trusted with what could have been the most dangerous of the Chuunin Exams and she trained directly under Orochimaru for a number of years, so there is a wonder of just what she had learned from him (we've already seen a few impressive techniques). The biggest fault for her could be if the seal for her Cursed Seal breaks.

I get the strange feeling I might have missed an important female, but... that's what I think. I didn't include Blue/Byakko of the Akatsuki since, as many people believe it's a female, we don't know definitely.

Hinata, Ino and Tenten are all Chuunin. Hinata has the Byakugan of her Hyuuga line and perhaps even Kaiten and Jyuuken and Ino is a member of the Nijyuu Shoudai... however, we haven't really seen much from them. Ino seems to have only improved with Medical jutsu, Tenten has a new bomb and we haven't seen anything from Hinata so it's really unfair to include them. Shizune seems to be quite talented and is a Jounin as well as a group leader, however we haven't seen much of her basic skills. A few senbon and her poison cloud. Her basic skills seem to mostly be medical.

I also didn't include Yugito because.. well, as far as we know, she's dead. Same with Chiyou.

Unfortunately we haven't seen much of Tsume (Kiba's mother) and her mutt, Kuromaru. She is a Tokubetsu Jounin, but we don't really know what for. We can assume it is for her tracking capabilities. Hana (Kiba's sister) is a Chuunin herself, but mostly seems to be a Medic (specifically, a veterinarian) and Yuugao (Hayate's ANBU lover)... well, we haven't seen a damn thing from her, other than that she's in ANBU and knows Kakashi on a similar level to Tenzou (maybe he was her superior in ANBU at one point).

That's all I can really think of.

The fact that Ino's mind jutsu was repelled by Sakura's schizophrenic second personality was just nonsense put in action so Ino wouldn't have won so quickly. Ino above Hinata. At least Hinata has Byakugan and Juuken. Ino has been one of the worst so far. Her match against Neji was a terrible match for her as Neji is a lot better at the Gentle Fist. Although she is weak it does not prove too much. Ino should have beaten Sakura in that fight, and I'm sure that she will be involved in the plan at some point.

Tsunade- She is the damn Godaime. Has a very good summon. Can heal herself and has great medical ninjutsu skills. Also has Super PMS Punch. Years worth of fighting experience and was taught by Sandaime. Just like Jiraiya said to Naruto, "a good teacher raises a good apprentice"

Kurenai-Come on guys she is a jounin and respected as the best genjutsu user in Konoha at this time. We havent seen any big offensive jutsu from her but her databook stats are solid. I would have liked to see how she was in genjutsu but you cant get everything that you want. I know people think that Sakura would own her wit her Super PMS Punch, but if she's caught in a genjutsu what will Sakura do. I know she has her Kai jutsu, but the best genjutsu user in ur village should be able to negate that jutsu.

Temari- People are gonna hate me for putting her above Sakura. I believe that they can be interchanged. I am making my list not on the ninjas overall skill level, but who can defeat the others on the list. Temari is a long range fighter which means that you cant put her in a genjutsu and you cant use taijutsu on her. If you try to get close she will just use fuutons and back you up. Also, lets not forget about the destructive power of her summon and the sheer magnifinace of her legs give her a +10 sexiness advantage in my book. I believe that most other kunoichis have no chance of ever hoping to defeat her, even Sakura. I say this because most of the other kunoichi's have shown no ninjutsu that would pose a threat to a long range fighter like Temari

Sakura-Sorry for putting her down here Sakura-tards ( You know who u are ). In pure skill she is pretty good but she is a chuunin and since her master is the Hokage Im sure Tsunade has her still as a chuunin for a reason. She still has to be respected for her medical ninjutsu abilities and Super PMS Punch. She has a lot of heart but I believe in a one on one battle she still doesnt have the skill to compete with the kunoichis ahead of her on the list at this present time, give her a couple of years. She could kill with one hit but she isn't super fast like Sasuke so how will she ever get to hit someone when she's been trained to basically dodge all day?

Anko- I really didnt want to make 5 top kunoichis but I guess I'll just put her here due to her rank. She hasnt shown much besides a nice rack and a kunai licking fetish. We havent really seen any other kunoichis higher than a chuunin rank do battle besides Shizune. So I guess Ill make her and Shizune number 5. Im sure that Orochimaru showed her some good jutsu but jutsu alone doesnt make you the best, or else Naruto wouldve been a jounin in part 1 with his two A Rank Jutsu's (Rasengan and Kage Bunshin or Kagi Bunchin as the dummies spell it)

Like I said, thats just from the girls who we have seen fight and those are the best of the best. Obviously Yugito and Blue Haired Akatsuki are good, but we really havent got to see them actually fight and use their jutsu.

5. Ino-The only improvement she has seemingly made is medic skills, and she is yet to succsesfully heal someone, she hasn't even learned shinrashin[the technique her father used] which is a chuunin level technique, and has just stood around doing nothing, while her teamate is fighting an akatsuki

1. Karin. I know we haven't really seen anything from her in terms of abilities and she seems like just a fangirl. But really, I believe her fawning over Sasuke is for some purpose more important than any lust. She is working for herself and is bold in her actions, a confidence I can appreciate. She has proven that she is useful with just the glimpse of her tracking jutsu, I expect to see more from her.

2. Tsunade. Strength, not just of the physical kind. Having lost the two people most important to her she still decided to rise to the position of Hokage in order to protect what they died for. And more than that, despite how she has been hurt, she still finds it possible to care deeply for other people, that her actions are not just out of a sense of obligation towards her brother and Dan. And of course, she's the best medic nin the shinobi world of Naruto has to offer, that is a huge asset. Definite top of the foodchain material there.

3. Temari. Attitude of a spectacular brand and her interactions with Shikamaru are fantastically amusing. Her intellect puts to use her fan wonderfully plus I love her weasel. xD

4. Tayuya. Her usage of demons and genjutsu was cool. But aside from that her temper and language was fantastically amusing.

5. Anko. Ha, I guess I like the characters who would be classified as tomboys. Oh, and snakes, that's an additional 1232038 charm points.

At first when I saw this thread I thought I'd choose the five whom I like the most, but there was said I have to write them in order of strength... In that case, I think there'll be following:

1. Tsunade

After seeing Orochimaru's true form (I mean that white snake) and Jiraya's Hermit Mode, I also suppose Tsunade to have some 'ultimate' weapon which she didn't show yet, but which could be revealed in her final battle. Maybe she is the weakest among all of the five Hokages, but still she is the Sannin. So I think the first place suits to her.

Sakura isn't on her level yet in my opinion. Maybe someday she will surpass her master, but that time hasn't came yet.

2. Chiyo

I think she could take the second place. She had great medical skills, ninjutsu and kobudo on quite high level and even though she was very old, still she was among the strongest female ninja in Narutoverse.

Somewhere between them could be also that another grandmother from Sarutobi's team (that one from the Elders' council whose are Tsunade's consultants)

3. Karin

I know we don't know :3 too much about the techniques she uses, but she was said to be among the strongest kunoichi. I think just she was that 'strong one' which Kishi was talking about. A cover of chapter 351 seems to confirm this.

The two last places are rather hard to say imo. Still we saw rather very small amount of abilities which other kunoichis have. I don't see the place for Kurenai, Temari and Anko among the strongest female ninja, although they are Jounins (Kurenai and Temari) or special Jounins (like Anko).

Still not enough info about Konan's jutsus. Maybe she seems weaker then she is in fact. The more so because Ero was rather not too weak opponent (not only for her). Therefore I think it's still to early to put her in the list.

4. Yugito

I think maybe she should be even above Karin. She was a jinchuuriki anyway, also she was able to control her bijuu really well and thanks to him she could fight with the long-range style, not exposing herself to get hurt.
5. Sakura

I feel all of them to be stronger than Sakura and Shizune. So the fifth place could be taken by one of them. And I think it rather suits to Sakura. I know Shizune is a Jounin while Sakura's rank is still Chuunin.
But Jounin to Jounin not equal :3 Kakashi also is theoretically on a Jounin level (imo Kage, but in manga he's still a Jounin). Kabuto's level is said to be equal to Kakashi's (I even could agree with that) and Shizune seemed much more weaker then Kabuto.
Even excluding Plot no Jutsu, I think Sakura has better skills and potential than Shizune, who is theoretically on a Jounin rank.

I didn't include Hinata in my list (although I expect her to could be strong at now) cause still we haven't seen her fight after TS and before-TS-Hinata is imo weaker than all of the female ninjas listed above.

And about Temari (cause I changed my mind a bit after reading Shinnou Genkaku's post). I think she could be equal to Sakura, especially because she is one of a very few female ninja who just really >thinks< during a fight.
Maybe she isn't as intelligent as Shikamaru, but still I see her as the very good strategist. For example Tsunade wasn't shown as someone who thinks during battle, and the same with Anko: 'Orochimaru, I'll kill u! even if I had to sacrifice my life, but I don't know how to do it yet, but fuck it, let's start' ;P maybe she's very good-looking kunoichi, but not strong enough.
