Hal Jordan at his most powerful as a GL would arguably fall prey to Sidious' mind manipulations. Hal has been mentally manipualted in the past as a GL.
As Parallax, Sidious is outmatched.

Sidious has Force precognition, it's pretty much guaranteed that he'll get the first attack.

Of course Sidious would have to know his mind trick would be the most effective weapon against Hal, of all of the assault of things he could do.
Of course Sidious would have to know his mind trick would be the most effective weapon against Hal, of all of the assault of things he could do.But if he immersed himself int he Force(SW n00b talkin), wouldn't it guide him to the most effective course of action right from the get go?

As a knowledgeable Star Wars fan and a dedicated Star Wars fanboy, I have this to say: Palpatine loses. Badly.

But if he immersed himself int he Force(SW n00b talkin), wouldn't it guide him to the most effective course of action right from the get go?Sidious wasn't shown to have that abilty, though I do believe Exar Kun or NJO Luke Skywalker could probably pull something like that off.

Exar Kun wishes he was Palpatine or had a percent of Palpatine's power and knowledge. Nothing Kun ever did comes close to buring a Super Star Destroyer in Coruscant and then mindwiping all of the citizens to make them forget, constantly keeping his mind linked with his various Emperor's Hands no matter where they went, discovering the Ssi-Ruuk mentally, conjuring a Force Storm (most powerful dark side technique ever, by the way) and the power Palpatine commanded was so immense, it was killing him.

I only know of a single Force user who has actually become "one" with it and basically its tool - Jacen Solo in The Unifying Force.

No, no...Sidious against Kun...no.
I mean, the ground didn't tremble beneath Palps as he walked.

Wow! The ground? Really? I can definitely see Exar employing this tremendous feat in battle.
Palpatine: Unlimited power!!!"
Kun: *walks towards him. A rock shakes and ZOMG! it rolls over from the force of his walking*
Palpatine: I shall now flee in terror!
...give me a break. When Exar Kun, in a few seconds, can summon a technique that rips apart space-time, can creat e a wormhole for teleportation across the galaxy and has the power to vaporize fleets...let me know. When Exar Kun can actually manipulate souls to revive himself, let me know. All i remember him doing is sucking the life out of a little race and shoving his spirit into the Yavin IV temples. Palpatine killed one of his underlings multiple times, then gripped his soula nd shoved it in a new body. When he died, he actually moved his bodilness soul through space until he got toa body.
The ground may not shake when Palpatine moves....but the universe does. Acknowledged by an Acient Sith spirit itself that Palpatine had indeed become the greatest of the Sith.

Also, and I thought it was obvious but, again the ground shook beneath Kun as he walked mainly because of him being pretty much over-powered.

Kun has never made a star go supernova. Only Sith to ever do that were Sadow and another weakling Sith, using a ship.

Kun eventually learned how to do it through a holocron. Anyway, all of the ancient Sith were far more powerful than any of the later generation ones.

Yes, Exar Kun did cause supernovas. In fact, IIRC, he supernova'd an entire cluster of stars at once.

Um...no, they weren't. Not even close. The Ancient Sith consisted of Marka Ragnos, featless loser, Naga Sadow, a guy who made illusions after meditating for 10000 hours and used tech to blow up stars, Simus, who survived as a head and somehow demonstrated power by doing this... That's about it. The Ancient Sith are overrated and completely weak till they do something on par with the newer generation. Revan is not an Ancient Sith. Neither is Palpatine. Both ranked higher than any Ancient Sith by 10 miles.

I'm on a Star Wars site and I have NEVER heard this. Not once in a million topics featuring Exar Kun have I ever heard of him destroying a star. Can i get some proof of these huge claims?

Around this time, Exar Kun discovered the secrets of the crystals aboard Sadow's Yavin 4 flagship. Where Sadow had caused a binary star system to nova to cover his escape, Kun had the vision to use this extraordinary ability as an offensive weapon—against Ossus, which was a few light-days from a cluster of red giants. Kun would sweep down during the inevitable hasty evacuation and cherry-pick the best of the Jedi artifacts and tomes. His plan was even more subtle than this however—the Sith battleship was dispatched with Aleema aboard (with the connivance of Ulic, who had been informed by Mandalore of Aleema's treachery). Aleema was not told that detonating five red giants ensured that they would supernova, and ensure her death in addition to that of the Jedi fleet defending Ossus which was to pursue her.

So...it was just Sadow's ship againn. Not Kun's own power.

It was charged by Exar Kun's power, the ship was just the instrument, his own power was what fueled it.
It's like someone riding on a stationary bike hooked up to a generator to power a lightbulb. They're not creating the light from the lightbulb themselves but they're providing the power for it.

Where did it say he powered the ship? It said
Around this time, Exar Kun discovered the secrets of the crystals aboard Sadow's Yavin 4 flagship.
He figured out how it worked and sent it off.

If you recall, the crystals were merely artifacts that made use of The Force. They were useless with a strong Force user to power them.
