not really....you could hit much harder with a metal bat then with that brick because the brick is too unwieldy of a weapon wont be able to use your full strength with it....and if you throw it you have to go fetch.

its easy to dodge brick.....iv dodged several,its much harder to dodge a bat going full speed in close combat.

If it's a street fight or just general use I'd say a bat; better range, comparable striking power and it's just a more versatile tool. Rocks and bricks have there uses, too.
