bjorkubus, if I was you, I would be very careful about Fushigi Yuugi seiyuu songs. :sweatdrop

I have many of them, but I didn't upload any of them, because in case you don't know, the series has two different sets of seiyuu. Some of the songs belong to those, dunno, "drama books"? If I recall correctly, those had been released before the Anime came out, and when it did, the studio decided that the characters needed different voices.
Anyway, take Chichiri, for example. "Mizu Kagami" is sung by Tomokazu Seki, "Ochanoko etc etc" is sung by Yamaguchi Kappei and the seiyuu for "Kachou fuugetsu" I don't even recognise. :notrust
It's the same with Nobutoshi Kanna, really, or Toshihiko Seki, who is said to have voiced Tamahome in the drama books.

Well, so as long as I can't tell apart which song is done by which seiyuu, I won't upload them. :wink

Indigo: I only found out about Nobutoshi Kanna voicing Shikamaru recently XD It was in Episode 141 (a filler episode), in which Shikamaru only had a very small role. Apparently, according to Wikipedia (which I'm hoping is reliable in this case), Nobutoshi~san and Shoutarou~san are good friends too! :love If you want to hear Nobutoshi~san's Shikamaru, see starting 2:34 of this video (http://youtube.com/watch?v=cZ9KJ8RH-mI). The fact that (1) No one, not even Shikatards like yourself X3 noticed the change in seiyuu and (2) The fact that he manages to sound so much like Shoutarou~san is yet more evidence of the seiyuus' amazing talent and skill.

I'm sorry, I've been inconsiderate. :cry For some strange reason, I assume that everyone who visits this thread is familiar with the layout and everything, which I definitely shouldn't assume. :sweatdrop The thread's become so big with so many songs that even I get confused sometimes! Thank you very much for the idea, I should definitely label the new songs clearly. One of the issues is character limits--it's 10,000 per post and I can't tell you how many times I've exceeded that on the front page >__< But I'll try to squeeze it in somehow, so that everyone knows where the newest songs are.

Or maybe I'll label how many new songs have been added from each seiyuu. For example, I could say 4 new Sasuke songs added, and you would know that they're the last 4 under Noriaki Sugiyama. Is that fair? It seems like a happy medium to me--everyone can find the songs, and I won't have to go too crazy with character limits.

I really love your description of Karaoke night in Konoha. I do think that Sasuke would have to sing a number though (I love Noriaki's voice XD)... and Shika could do some acoustic sets... hey! I think the labelling would be a good idea..for the most part, I can pick out which songs I already have but you see, I'm a dummy and I was first looking through your list thinking : Pah! What a silly idea for a thread... I don't even like japanese music! (Don't hate me! I've learned now!) and then I thought : ..... maybe I should download some. I mean, I've already heard Naruto Ondo. It may be fun to hear the other characters too.. and then I went and downloaded randomly so now I have no idea what I have and don't have and what's new and what's not. XD Bad Vixey! Bad!

Naruto Nippon radio show she hosts, and she's always chock full o' crazy on them ^w^ The shows are hilarious, though. They feature a new seiyuu every month and hearing the interactions between Takeuchi~san and say, Ishida Akira (Gaara) is fascinating and hilarious.

Haha, yeah...I had my iPod on shuffle, and all of a sudden Karada Kensa came up, and I was just like :hearts The awesomeness was overwhelming.

The first song I heard of Mizuki-san was Justice to Believe. It was the only single/album on Jpopsuki that was still seeded. xD Then Aoi Iro, which is still one of my favorite songs of hers.
I was seriously double-checking Wikipedia to make sure it was the same person. xD

Fandom is a veeeery interesting species to observe :haha And don't even get me started on the rabid SasuKarin fans O__O I personally don't like the pairing because (1) I don't think Sasuke could be less interested, and (2) It seems too early to tell! I definitely think Karin's an interesting character (and not to offend her fans, but I think her annoying factor could rival Ino's or Part I Sakura's already XD). Even though I don't like Karin's personality that much, I will admit that her character design is superb. The glasses, those hotpants XD and those full-length boots...I applaud Kishi on making her edgier than most typical characters.

Naruto Nippon radio show she hosts, and she's always chock full o' crazy on them ^w^ The shows are hilarious, though. They feature a new seiyuu every month and hearing the interactions between Takeuchi~san and say, Ishida Akira (Gaara) is fascinating and hilarious.

What I really need is a translation of the O:NN shows. I've listened to some of them and think they are pretty funny just because it seems that Takeuchi can't keep a straight face the entire time. I'll cite the first show, Ishida Akira came on all serious and what not then about 3 minutes after they began their semi-in-character conversations, which was going on just fine, started, they both burst into laughter and stop using their characters voices.

I'm still amazed at how good Shoutarou Morikubo is.

Well, first I would recommend checking out this thread (http://forums.narutofan.com/showthread.php?t=4046) on good ole NF. It's a good place to start, and some people have translated some of the latest shows.

Alas, the site I used to listen to the shows is closed until further notice. But if you have a way to listen to them, this site (http://virtual-rotation.com/naruto/) is great for the translations. It's not up-to-date, but it's really good for the time being. I hope this helps for now! I've only listened to a few, but I think they're so hilarious.

I hate SasuSaku too. Out of all the possible Sasuke pairings I've seen or heard of, I actually like SasuHina the best. Now before you cry out in disbelief, allow me to explain! Torn by Renoa Heartilly (http://www.fanfiction.net/s/2268686/1/) is my favorite fanfic of all time. Before I read it, I was dabbling in the idea of SasuHina because I thought they were cute together (but fear not, NaruHina has always been, and always will be, my OTP). Plus I figured that Hinata was the only girl who wasn't a rabid fangirl, so Sasuke might find that intriguing. Not to mention they're both nobility, so Hiashi might marry her off to him or something (which is the premise that Renoa works with). There are just some aspects of the pairing that I really find adorable, even though (1) I know it'll never happen and (2) I don't actually want it to happen, I just think it's cute. :nod

Phew! I honestly don't know what might happen to Sasuke. He might die trying to kill Itachi (or succeeding in doing so), he might end up with Sakura (BLEH!), he might end up with Karin (iiiinteresting... :plot better than Sakura anyway!), he might end up alone, or he might end up with a new character. I actually favor the last option. I was hoping Karin might be uninterested in Sasuke, because that would be a first (other than Hinata) and would make for some very interesting interaction. My hope is that a new character like Hinata surfaces somehow and Sasuke has to actually work to get her to like him, and then they'll fall in love and live happily ever after! :spaz

The "ultimate doujutsu" aspect of SasuHina is another reason why I think the pairing somewhat makes sense, but I don't actually want it to happen (and I don't think there's any real chance of it happening anyway). It's just fun to read fanfics and imagine the cute predicaments they might find themselves in if they were married or something :haha Kinda like TemaShika, but I really want that one to happen. And I feel like it's one of the most canon pairings, besides Asuma & Kurenai which I KNEW was afoot a long time ago. I have the same feeling about TemaShika. I'm gonna cry so much when it happens in the anime. I cried when it was in the manga, but the anime's gonna be even sadder...
It's worse for my friend, though. She was a dub watcher, though she knew what happened all the way through the end of part 1...then all of a sudden one day my stepsister randomly went "Hey Emily, did you know Asuma dies?" She was seriously crying...

Oh gosh, every time I think about Asuma I get all teary. :scry Long before it actually happened, I had a horrible ominous feeling when he started talking about all the "knight" and "king" and "protecting" and "sacrificing" business with Shikamaru while they played Shogi. I knew it was bound to happen, but I was really hoping Kishi would pull a Neji or a Chouji. A lot of people were saying that his death was in vain, but Shikamaru wouldn't have been able to finish Hidan off without Asuma. My only "regret," I guess, is that we didn't get to see more of Asuma before he died.

Hey, according to Wikipedia, the first kanji characters in Hidan and Kakuzu's names stand for "rook" and "bishop" in Shogi! O__O What a brilliant touch on Kishi's part! *applause*

And I really loved how Kishi handled Shikamaru's reaction. He tried to be strong, but it's obvious he was really devastated. The scene where Shikamaru took up Asuma's cigarette and claimed the smoke made his eyes water...and the rain pouring on him...that was one of the most painfully beautiful moments in any manga I've ever seen. I like the new darker side of Shikamaru we're seeing, how he's dedicated to avenging Asuma to make sure his death wasn't in vain. Shikamaru's only doing what Asuma would have wanted.

Another strange premonition--I actually thought Kurenai might have been pregnant because of the manga's prevailing theme of "the circle of life" and all. I thought it was a stretch at the time, but...guess not! ^w^ Oh God, the scene where Shikamaru told Kurenai about Asuma was heartbreaking. Seeing all of it animated it going to be so much more powerful.

Poor Emily! I'm sure your stepsister wasn't expecting such a reaction, eh? :( Or maybe she was! O__O :laugh

The TemaShika was great :nod Yesh, yesh, bring on the TemaShika~~ Please, for fandom's sake! NaruHina in the fillers made me SQUEE SQUEE SQUEEEE~ even though it was filler. I'll take NaruHina, TemaShika, LeeSaku (:scry), etc. in any form! :yell

I figured Kotetsu and Izumo would definitely die, since they're random ninja that don't really matter (though that never happened, since they lived), and that Asuma had a pretty good chance of dying, and if Kishimoto was really up for it he'd kill off Shikamaru also, but I figured that probably wouldn't happen. When it started getting apparent Asuma was going to die (326, I think) I was half hoping that Kishimoto wouldn't wimp out and make him somehow survive (aka Neji and Chouji), but at the same time I didn't want him to die...
I mean, no good guy had died since Sandaime, if I remember correctly. Someone needed to die. I just wish it hadn't been Asuma...

I have a horrible suspicion that Shikamaru will die in battle :( I can't shake that ominous feeling around him! After learning everything Asuma had to teach him--both battle-related and just life lessons in general--I feel like Kishimoto has been leading up to Shikamaru sacrificing his life for Konoha and his loved ones. I hope it won't happen, but...And yet, at the same time, I don't know if Kishimoto would actually kill one of the original Genin (now Chuunin and beyond). Maybe when they're adults, if we follow them to adulthood or if there's an epilogue chapter. AW that reminds me of the Digimon finale (Digimon dub FTW!) where we saw all of the characters married and with jobs and kids! :kloff I love epilogues. ^w^

I agree with what you said though--as much as I didn't actually want Asuma to die, his death has definitely had a huge impact on the story, on his team, and on the development of the themes Kishi has introduced, like protecting loved ones, family, village, teammates, and the circle of life with Kurenai's baby. :cry

I didn't want him to keep smoking, even though it did help his bad@$$ rating in my book XD I really like how he forced himself to smoke in Asuma's memory, even though he didn't like to smoke. Aw! My brother (I'm gonna KILL him!) spoiled me about L months ago. I almost cried! I still can't believe it...I can't even imagine how a story like DN could possibly end. Sometimes spoilers are fun, like for the manga and stuff! :woo I read Naruto 343 spoilers--the one where Sasuke attacks Orochimaru :faint--a few days before I read it and I couldn't believe what I was reading. Oh yeah! Speaking of finalizing pairings...have you been reading shounen manga for a while? And if so, how do most of them address pairings by the end? I've always wondered about that. I only started watching Naruto in late 2005 and the only manga I read are Naruto and Bleach, which are still ongoing. I'm sure all the big shounen manga have had all kinds of pairing possibilities...so do you know how the mangaka have tied up those loose ends? Do the dominant male and female usually end up together? I hope not, because that might mean NaruSaku (bleh!) and IchiRuki (eh...)! Then again, Naruto and Bleach might be the mold-breakers :nod I know they follow typical story molds in many respects, but they're original and unpredictable sometimes too. It leaves a lot of room for speculation (and crack pairings XD) and the possibility of NaruHina, IchiHime... :love

I only read spoilers occasionally, if I remember and/or I'm having a stressful week and I just want to majorly procrastinate on NF. :nod

As for the shounen thing...well, to be honest, the only other shounen manga I really really know a lot about is Inu Yasha, and that's basically had canon pairings for a really long time. xD; There really aren't many alternate pairings, except for crack pairings. That's true, but the possibility of pairings is undeniable. I don't think Kishi would have so many potential pairings and never have them go anywhere. I was just wondering if you (or anyone) knew how pairings were finalized in other manga like Bleach and Naruto...it'd be interesting to see.

Oh and I think it's safe to say that TemaShika is officially the most canon pairing EVAR! :nuts (Other than AsuKure :scry). When Tsunade mentioned them at the halfway point of 8-9, I knew absolutely and for sure that they were meant to be. :nod It's now cemented in my mind, end of story. I loved TemaShika a looong time ago, but now it's just unavoidable. Whether or not Temari or Shikamaru are willing to admit it... :jk

And the "crying" part was a little exaggarated, I never cry over fiction, it's just... it's so angsty that if I read it, I keep concentrating on the content instead of the grammar, and it's really annoying, to say the least, because that way, I tend to miss rather glaring errors that should be quite hard to overlook. The obvious solution, of course, would be to get myself a beta, but I always beta my own stories, so... any suggestions?

I was able to get all the Naruto seiyuu songs back and the rest of my japanese songs I was able to get from gendou.com. As for my normal MP3s, I already got back about 70% last night because my sister and I share similar tastes and she saved 4 CDs worth on songs (4.7 gigs per CD).. I only took about 1.7 gigs though.

*pets sig* I still have the .psd so I'm willing to make a .jpg version with a different map in the bg. xD

It's always a good idea to look into what other characters a seiyuu has played, and then look for character songs from other anime from there. I had never heard of Fushigi Yuugi before, but now I can look into that for Zetsu/Ebisu songs! I still can't get over the fact that Zetsu and Ebisu will be played by the same seiyuu XDDD

Canna-san is very talented, I mean, he's really a favorite of mine because of the quality of his voice, but when it comes to versatility to me, I think I go with Takeshi Kusao's standards. >.>; His singing voice isn't as impressive as Canna's, but whoa. You can't tell which characters Kusao voices just by hearing them the first time. Somehow it's much easier for me to recognize Canna's voice; so I think that's why I refer to it as normal; >.>; BUT GOSH yes, the difference between the characters he voices are still really distinct and varied, so yes. Canna is still awesome.

Midou Ban is somewhat a combination of Kabs and Tasuki, I guess. He's pretty cold and cool sometimes, but gets hot-headed and rude (and comic relief) like Tasuki. Plus his attack is called "Snake Bite". xD

Uhm...I guess you can post Tamahome songs for the filler character Arashi, from the Fuuma clan arc. ^^; (No, that isn't Yondaime, at least, who Midorikawa voiced.)

Some Seki Tomokazu ones too, for Sagi of the filler arcs; but I think you already know that...but other than that...I don't think any of the other FY seiyuu worked on Naruto. (At least those who had image songs...)

I haven't come across any other song other than "Metcha Hajikete..." so...yes. Other songs by them would be quite nice. 8D E.M.U. is a seiyuu band whose few songs I have will be posted down in this post. XD

E.M.U. worked on an anime series called "Sotsugyou M", and they got lots of songs. ^^; This should be useful since 4 out of the 5 members are Naruto seiyuu. :D

XD He did Trunks (both Chibi Trunks and Future Trunks) from Dragonball Z/GT for one. And also Sakuragi Hanamichi from Slam Dunk, Kougaiji from Gensomaden Saiyuki, Bankotsu from Inuyasha, and recently Coco (both human and fluffy-mascot form) from Yes! Precure 5.

8D If you'd hear Kusao's voice and compare his role as Trunks to his role as the fluffy Coco mascot, you'd know what I mean. xD

It's kinda a random mix of rival players (Atobe and Oshitari from Hyoutei Gakuen, Kirihara and Sanada from Rikkaidai, Ibu and Kamio from Fudomine, and Sengoku from Yamabuki) that sung a song at a welcome back party for Seigaku's captain who was in Germany for treatment for his injured arm.
As for how this relates to Naruto seiyuu, Morikubo Shoutaro does Shikamaru, Kusunoki Taiten does Ibiki, and Toriumi Kousuke does Kiba.
