Probably just the confirmation you KH fans needed to see, and not one but multiple projects are being developed in the KH compilation. Expect to see more revealed in 2007.

Yeah, I heard about this, I am curious has to what it all is. From the Jump Festa news and pics it looks like Square-Enix is making COM and Final Mix worth the money imo. Maybe this project will reflect on Roxas growing popularity. heh

You're not the only one actually, the rumor of the prequel thingie was spread because one of the written sentences seen in the teaser trailer was "Xehanort's memories" wich led the fans think it was settled in the past, however there's no confirmation about this, in fact a new scan from Final Mix that hit the net a couple of months ago showed part of the face of one of the components of the armored trio and in fact the man's face looked lots like an adult Sora, (seen the scan and I have to say it looks like Sora to me) so it is possible that the game is settled in the furture, and that the trio is in fact Sora, Riku and Kairi :)

KH1 then the KH for GBA(Chain something) then goes KH2.... so maybe it's the one for GBA just remade into PS2.It could be KH3 altogether though.

Their log of possible new worlds that have high hopes of being good are in the single digits.

And this new project has nothing to do with the remake of Chain of Memories, or Final Mix II+. It was mentioned it was something all togeather different.

Disney has that fun issue with wanting to milk something for all its worth though. I mean, look at the Pirates of the Caribbean movies. ><

On a side note a more 'adult' version of Kingdom Hearts would be silly, and it wouldn't feel the same as the original games, which in turn, would probably make it shitty.

Well...Pirates is understandable. Johnny Depp + a movie that has shattered box office records for Disney = a big franchise. But I know the milking you speak of. With Cindellerella II and III, Mulan II, Hunchback of Notre Dame II, Pochahontis II, Brother Bear II, Little Mermaid III [Yes, a third movie], and I could go on and on.

The only good things that were good the entire time they milked them was Ducktales and the entire Aladdin franchise.

As much as I love the KH series it doesn't need to be milked. This is going to end badly, very badly. It already lost a good portion of the magic with each passing game, and I know that this will probably kill it for me unless these are really awesome.

One of the big things with Disney since the first Kingdom Hearts was the usage of Disney. After it became Disney's best selling video game, they saw the potential Square had. I don't think they would allow their "aw shucks" happy go lucky feller to have an entire game to show off his badassness of win.

You can play all of KHII as Mickey anyhow with codes :P

Maybe a Org prequal? Or another inbetween game, to set up the next one. It would be sorta weird starting KHIII off at that letter part.

Well, they couldn't use Pixar stuff before, cause Disney just distributed it, they didn't really own any of the releases besides Toy Story.

KHII's development concluded in 2005, and Disney bought Pixar in 2006. So I guess that means they can them if possible. That would give them more GOOD worlds to work with.
