I consider Gold Saints below hearld level....but here we go.....
Thier was a Saga vs Thanos debate not so long ago. All my arguements ware shut down. (well, its not like I didnt know about them already:P = me fighting a loosing battle).
But How will Thanos Stack up to Shaka?

Assuming Thanos can't burn his cosmo (since there's not such thing as "cosmo" in his universe) and thus cannot do a suicidal attack (ala Ikki) or use it to stand up even senseless, if he falls into Shaka's Tembu Horin, he's lost, so I go with Shaka.

tenbu Horin has been broken twice.
First time by Ikki who died in the process.
Second time by Saga/Camus/Shura with a AE.
Thanos will be immune to most of Shaka's illusions like Budda's Palm and 5 Hells etc. But Tenbu Horin is another ball game.

By Ikki's part it wasn't really "broken" he just was able to stand senseless because he used his cosmo to the max, kinda like did Seiya when evil saga de-sensed him as well.
And on the second time, the Gold Saints didn't really "broke" it, they simply were faster, also take account Shaka (suposedy) already figured their mission and wanted to die at that point so, there's no way to know if he did fail on purpose.
On the other hand, we know Shaka isn't a cheap fighter, but if he just goes with Tembu Horin at the begining of the battle, due his lightspeed he would neutralize Thanos real fast
Ware is the love for thanos?
I mean he may not have the 7th sense. But he does have Cosmic Awareness.
And the Power of Cosmic is by far not weak.

Tenbu Horin is a technique that strips the opponent its ability to defend or attack. They cant even move a muscle.
Its not a tech that kills. But it strips you of your 6 senes. For each sense removal you do receive damage.
But upon reaching the final 6th sense (which is considered ESP), it not only removes the 6 sense but shuts the mind down.
Truly a broken technique.

If he doesn't use Tenbu Horin, Shaka would likely die very fast.
In a battle he would likely use the technique after his Kai barrier tanks a few cosmic blasts.

what do you need to do for the tenbu horin, also what about prep,access to tech and are shaka's psychic defenses crazy strong?.

Tenbu Horin doesn't have any 'cast time' it looks to be instant (Shaka wills it, it happens)
With prep he might be able to come up with some way to counter it yeah.
Shaka basically is a very powerful Psychic, all of his attacks are mind based and his illusions are pretty much undetectable by other very powerful Psychics (he had Saga and co, running forever on Budda's Palm)

IMO Shaka>Saga.
Saga seems to be more of an offensive chara
While Shaka seems to be more of a deffensive chara.
Either way, I just want to see other peoples opinnions
And yes, I think Thanos is above Saga or Shaka. (I dont think The Gold Saints are in the Hearlds, Green Lanterns league).

I am sorry to say this but if we are counting Episode G and all the statements then Saga & Shaka both will win this fight. Saga was able to hit a universe dammit! the same universe known as Cosmo. If Death is not by the side of Thanos & if Thanos can die then he will not win against people like Shaka who can revive after their death. The guy was able to come back and get his cloth back after turning to Atoms...
By the way, Saga is stronger than Shaka and I will prove to everyone once and for all, just need some time, keep trying to find anything to protect Shaka because the next time I will debate in this topic it will be the time where I will declare that Saga is stronger than Shaka officially...

Thanos can't beat Shaka due to the broken tenbu horin ability.
Saga can't hide behind that i'm afraid, all of his techniques could be countered by Thanos and exploited.
Galactian explosion? Nah Omega was more powerful imho
Genrōmaōken will not work, Thanos is likely too strong.
Another Dimension? Yeah shame Thanos would port back again at no cost of energy, would only weaken Saga :)
