For those who are wondering: I removed the background faded stock because it did not suit my sig. In mosy circumstances, it would work well with other sigs, so I kept the original in there. It was brough back later, as can be seen by the final piece - remember, sigs are all about what you think looks good, so don't be afraid to play about.

My icky outcome. =/ It was an easy tutorial to follow, though. ^^ Maybe I'll try it again sometime and NOT rush through it.

How do you paste the stock?

Hmm....Well there's always File>Place. That is, if yours has that. I have PS Elements, and that's what mine is; but I don't know if it's the same for all the versions.

2 questions.
1) Did you use photoshop for this, right?
2) Which version, Cs2? And can this be made in any version or do you need to have Cs2. (i dont have CS2)

If it has one color then the magic wand on the outside would be fine and the Ctrl+Shift+I to select the stock. Otherwise you have to select around the outside with the polygonal lasso tool or the pen tool.
Go image and there should be something in Image>Image size or Image>Canvas size. Hope that helps.

Okay, when i try to paste it, by going to file>place it still places in the whole picture, and i don't know what i am doing wrong, and for image size when i type in 380x125 it does this really big picture not like the tut size. Please help!

No
Go File>Open and choose the stock
Then Select which bits you want and press control+C
Then open a new tag Ctrl+N and Ctrl+V and that is how it works
Aslo the problem with the typing in thing is that you have to change iit to pixels wehreas it is currently cm (just put px after the number)

Can you please put the steps in order starting with the first( i don't know if this is the first step: "you magic wand on the outside and the Ctrl+Shift+I to select the stock" or the thing you just posted) it would be a big help!! Because am so confused with that C tool. Thanks.

Control+C is copy.
Control+V is paste
Go File>Open and choose the stock
Then Select which bits you want
If it has one color then the magic wand on the outside would be fine and the Ctrl+Shift+I to select the stock. Otherwise you have to select around the outside with the polygonal lasso tool or the pen tool.
Make sure you have that selection line around what you want to paste
Press control+C
Then open a new tag Ctrl+N and Ctrl+V and that is how it works

I think you need to update your post, the link to the tutorial doesn't work - it says 404 file not found and it doesn't appear here either.
