How have you cheated in a game without the use of cheatcodes?

For Instance: SNES Mario Kart
In battle mode, if I had a red shell and my opponent had a feather, we were at a stalemate. If I threw the shell, he would just jump over it... and he couldn't attack me with just a feather. Solution? When the intense standoff reached it's peak, I loudly made the sound effect "peooow" with my own mouth. Startled, thinking I threw the shell, he jumped. When he landed, I had the real shell waiting for him.

Mimicing sound effects is a valuable skill as a gamer.

in DBZ:bodkai3 when my friends use a dargon rush some times i look at there hand so see what botton they press

or when my friend or doing a combo in some fighting game if you pause for a while they sometimes forget there doing a combo and stop

when i was getting a beating on SFA 1 or 2 on the sega saturn.. i would reset the game pressing A,B,C and start :P

In DOA this is my secret Ayane and Hayate have a jump attack they can do to jump over someone getting up with a kick and I always listen out for the the button pressed if there is no button pressed then I dont jeopardize the attack. It always work I have a fast reaction time with those two characters. I always know if someone is going to come up with a kick or not. There is always that short second of opportunity.

My fav cheat is on Hyrule Temple on SSBM. The area you can walk down to on the stage. Where if you hit someone they can hit the ceiling. I have taken 800HP damage down there no prob. As soon anyone hits you and you fly into anything just press L it stops you on whatever you hit. I cheat so bad. They hate me at Otakon.

well one low tech cheat is in a game the make you wait mabye 20 hours to unlock someting you can just put some thing heavy on the d-pad and leave it on over night

(Not sure if this qualifies...) Typically, in Soul Calibur 3, my attacks as Mitsurugi always seem like the end of a combo, but the thing is that I NEVER stop attacking if I'm not in danger. My opponents always think "Ok, so he made an opening right there" and bam, I'm still attacking.
