EDIT: Wiki says I am.Revan could defeat Sidious though it wouldn't be easy. Nihilus on the other hand has his ole handicap for protection. No force user could beat him unless they have the same handicap.

Indeed, Revan couldn't beat Nihilus without help, whereas the Exile could do so because she was immune to his force leech.

Yeah, Nihilus just estabilishes a force link with anyone who comes near him then sucks them through it like a straw. The exile being a mobile wound in the force caused nihilus to suck the entire death of malachor through the straw... again. Which fucked him.
