Yes, aside from the movie out next year, there hasn't been any info regarding (and hopefully, there won't be) a new SEED series.

And whatever "Gundam SEED: Eternity" or "Gundam SEED: Genesis" titles you hear, those are just rumors and will remain as such until announced otherwise.

well according to the info i have, the movie, which will come out in a month time is just a remake of the last few episodes. GSD is very popular and many are not satisfied with the ending, even with the remake Final Plus. So they decided to do another remake.

Sorry to disappoint Shinn's fans, I dun think you get to see him pwn anyone.

i do agree that shinn needs a proper role... i don't care if he is a bad guy, or a good guy... just give him a proper role and more character development... but saying that shinn owns everybody is just plain wrong... the beauty about C.E. is that it works around every character... (well at least before kira starts to pwn everybody's ass which turned out to be bad for destiny). everybody is great in their own way... nobody becomes the ultimate character (again before kira starts pwning... blah blah bla...).

i just wish this whatever movie be as epic or become better than SEED, but not so focused on kira just like destiny... and uhm... no more "im mwu la flagga. im a fortress!!!" shit... he already blocked 2 god damn positron blaster cannons... -_-, another one would make him an even bigger god compared to kira...

Kira ftw, still a classic character of the SEED universe and still the best. Something about Shinn's attitude and the fact he can act like that while being good in battle (but still not up to Athrun and Kira) annoyed me. I'm glad everything ended up working out well but the moment he started disliking Kira and the rest I started to dislike him.

What I would like to see though, out of a 3rd series is;

1. Bring back the former glory of Yzak and Deakka (Bring back Duel and Buster)
2. Give Athrun his strength back, he kept getting his ass kicked in most of Destiny (Athrun in Aegis, bloodlusted, in SEED vs Kira in episode would pretty much OWN current Shinn BADLY)
3. Get the Kira the same emotions he had in SEED, in Destiny he was a killer so-to-speak.

In the SE IV, I'm expecting on a lenghty Final Plus. I want to see how Kira and Shinn will have a conversation with each other as friends. In the movie, I want to see how a Kira-Shinn tag team will work out, putting the nail in the coffin for Shinn lovers/Kira haters everywhere. Maybe in SE IV (a lengthly Final Plus) and the movie, there is room for character development for Shinn.

And guys, Gundam MINI SEED will be animated.

That's the reason why I liked Kira's "piloting skills" in SEED. For two-thirds of the show, he was piloting Strike, a not so strong Gundam, yet he was able to overcome the odds. You can say that he's still pretty human... and lucky.

GSD kinda fucked up the whole idea of GS imo, they just did the same thing in GS as in GSD, is this a coincidence?

Gundam SEED episode 30: Athrun in Aegis (which in my opinion could OWN Shinn's Destiny today easily) versus Kira in Strike. Athrun wins, Kira presumed dead. Comes back in episode 35 in Freedom.

Gundam SEED Destiny episode 34: Shinn wants revenge like Athrun did in GS, Shinn wins, Kira presumed dead. Comes back in episode 36, 37, 38 in Strike Freedom. (Can't really remember the episode where he came back)

Kira COMPLETELY changed from crying (which was his personality) to "I have to kill everyone opposing Cagalli" They should rebuild Freedom, the one and only.

Athrun was piloting a Zaku, and he was kicking Gundam ass with Yzak and Dearka in Episode 6, which was really one of the best scenes in GSD (I think?). Seeing him doing that, I was hoping to at least see Kira do the same. :)

None of these new flashy Gundams can ever hit home like U.C. did. I mean now they have force fields and crap. The main Gundam was un freackin touchable and always survived. Now Kamille ended up busted up bad, Amuro is missing presumed K.I.A, as well as Char. Amuro's Gundam even blew up in U.C. 0079 barely escaping by his core fighter. But noooooooo Freedom leaves with its glossy paint finish intact. Gotta hate that.

The DVDs are currently being released.

I disagree about Destiny = Zeta. While SEED being a redone version of MSG is pretty clear, there aren't that many similarities between Destiny and Zeta. You can compare Kamille and Shinn, but they're really only similar in that they're both angry. As opposed to how Kira was just a 21st century version of Amuro.

The Shinn/Stella plotline being a redone version of the Kamille/Four plotline is the only real similarity. Even then, Stella is closer to Rosamia Badam or Elpeo Ple than she is to Four Murasame.

Destiny was for the most part pretty original, excluding the fact its final 12 episodes were crappy and derrivative, and screwed everyone over, especially Shinn.

Here's hoping the 4th Special Edition gives Shinn some more stuff, and he has a big role in the Movie.

Like almost all anime DVDs, they're billingual. They contain the English dub, and the Japanese version with subtitles.

You should be able to find them at any store that sells anime DVDs(Suncoast if its still open where you live, FYE, Best Buy, Borders, etc), or if no stores near you have it, from online retailers.

According to an american friend of mine, GSD is UTTER SHIT in english (as most other dubs imo) So it's possible you'll get dissapointed.

I've seen one english episode on youtube. I'm no dub hater and actually anjoyed the One Year War dub far more than its japanese counterpart. I've already seen it in Japanese and want to see it in English fully.

That's preposterous. I've seen the dub, and while not the greatest, its alright. The only voice that really bugs me is Gilbert's, but given his Japanese voice was done by Shuichi Fucking Ikeda, that's something almost impossible to live up to(I liked the guy who did Char in Zeta's dub, but still...)

No anime 'isn't made for anything but Japanese', especially not a series as Western-ish as Gundam. Hell, they even use Western naming conventions in the Japanese version.

Most of the names used in GS/GSD is taken from geography, like plates and volcanoes, I saw it the other day, and it doesn't really matter if it's western or not, in fact, name a couple of animes that actually takes place in Japan. Seeing English dubbed anime is frightful to me

Well it is my opinion, if you found it immature and close minded, then I'm sorry. It wasn't meant to be offensive. Even though I said seeing english dubbed anime is bad for me I was reffering to GSD, go ask Son_Pan about it, she actually is american and have seen it. I have love for the DBZ dubs, I find them better than Naruto, Gundam, etcetc

Shame we'll never see a bloodlusted Athrun fight Kira again. I don't think they could write them hating each other enough. I also hope they don't weaken Athrun and make him the bitch who gets shot down to get Kira annoyed.

Personally, I COULD have enjoyed GSD if it pointed more to Athrun having the lead more than Shinn AND Kira. Wait, Shinn was NEVER the protagonist of GSD in the first place.

I mean, his character was so good in the first half that after Kira FUCKING destroyed his Savior (I seriously HATE Kira for doing that), his character development just crashed down considerably.

well it is a higher quality version and in widescreen. i found out that they're remastering DBZ in HD format. i think doing that for the gundam series would be badass. that would be so worth it. one of my friends had an HD version of Negima?! and it was so awesome. but yeah....

so what does it means to show Kira in Zaft uniform and Athrun in Orb uniform as the credit rolls? Unless there will be a new Gundam seed, perhaps starting off with Kira on Plant, otherwise I don't see the point of showing Kira in Zaft uniform. Not counting trying to get Kira's fangirls excited o_O

hmmm... athrun already wore an orb uniform towards the end of destiny... kira also wore a zaft elite pilot uniform during seed when lacus gave him freedom... and apparently, zaft uniforms>any earth uniform(may it be from the aliance or orb)... im guessssing that showing kira in a white zaft uniform is nothing more than fanservice...:oh

but of course, it could still be something about the "2007 movie.":amuse
