Looking for 3rd person games

I'm looking for some 3rd person shooter/sword/magic whatever games. For the pc, I can't find anything worth playing, I've played all the prince of persias, jedi knight outcast and academy, both max paynes. I'm looking for something new, with a good story, maybe something manga based, however I doubt manga based games come onto pc. I suppose I could always download an emulator. Something with an online multiplayer field would be nice as well. Something to do with martial arts would be cool, I'm not really into rpgs cause the action and physx is generally quite limited. I might've played wow, but I have no money to pay to play. So any games?

I've played halo, all I can say is meh. What would really be cool, is game based on the same principale as World of Warcraft, but all the lands would be based around asia, and you could play as a ninja, a samurai, a wushu master, a karate master, a kung fu dude, the list goes on. And make it a bit magical, give you some kind of wierd power, like in naruto, make it so chi/chakra exists. I wonder if one has already been made, I'll check , if not someone should really make one, I've started learning about programming, but I've got one hell of a long way to go before I can make a game.

What would really be cool, is game based on the same principale as World of Warcraft, but all the lands would be based around asia, and you could play as a ninja, a samurai, a wushu master, a karate master, a kung fu dude, the list goes on. And make it a bit magical, give you some kind of wierd power, like in naruto, make it so chi/chakra exists. I wonder if one has already been made, I'll check , if not someone should really make one, I've started learning about programming, but I've got one hell of a long way to go before I can make a game.

Lets drop the focus on the racial comment, if you want to discuss it, please do so outside of this thread. Anywho, I'm thinking now, that many of us should get together and make an RPG based around martial arts.

You could play as a ninja like in naruto or a samurai similar to bleach, you could be a wushu , master, within the main types, you have sub classes, weapons specialists, taijutsu, specialists, genjutsu specialists, ninjutsu, different types of elements and elemental based techniques. Different types of bankai and things like that.

You could have levels, and attain super fast speed, for example, if you're level 5, you fight some unplayable character, who is level 50 and just blinks in front of you and appears super fast, but as you attain higher levels you begin to see his/her movements, and they become blurred instead of just blinking around, and eventually you can dodge them and so forth. At lower levels, you could use water ninjutsu only when natural water resources are nearby depending on your "race" if you will, but as you get higher, you can use water jutsu without water in presence, however, the amount will be limited, and so on and so on. We should really try and make one, all of us put our ideas together.

So you want another shitty anime game? I wouldn't recommend any, but Guild Wars may be the next closest thing to what you speak of.

I think ff11 is a cool game which you kind of r describing, i played it for 2 years on my PS2(they have it PC to), you can have a job as a ninja, samurai, if your a ninja you can get special ninjustus to use during battles. You can buy armor and weapons, talk with people, form groups of 6 people to battle

I think for a mmorpg in the basis or naruto or bleach is just wishful thinking bro, i think a really good one will be difficult, because alot of people won't want to pay monthly, and i don't see anyone creating a worthwhile one, a low budget, unless big company like square-enix makes it, it wont be worthwhile.

Square Enix is coming out with an mmorpg for the PS3 probally PC also, which i think will be awesome, and that I am definitly gonna get because i miss playing mmorpgs.

Guild Wars doesn't have a subscription fee.

You could buy Oblivion for your PC as well, it has the whole magic concept with monks and such.
