Anyone notice that the anime is catching up to the manga incredibally fast? I mean theyre already on volume 6 and only at ep14. How much of the manga are they actually cutting out? Ive noticed theyve been cutting out some scenes with the reality tv guy.

I have a blog about this, or more accurately a post on my blog about this. I keep what I wrote about each episode but I have my predictions and what not. The link is in my sig.

There has already been a lot of discussion about this and the most I can say is that it makes sense what they are doing, even if I'm not happy with it. I'm excited that they are getting to the cool soul society faster and will be there in another 4 or 5 episodes (re: 3-4). That is when the cool action occurs but the only problem is when and if they catch up to the manga, what would they do after that?

Will they end it like some people have predicted or will they fill it with crap until the manga continues or the show gets cancelled.

i really like this anime, i bloody hope it isn't cancelled. I believe it may have the potential to be as big as naruto?

It isn't cancelled nor will it be for a while. What R_Lee and other people are talking about is the extremely fast pace of the anime compared to the manga. The anime episode is average about 5 chapters of manga, so that is five weeks of manga rolled up in one week of an episode. At the rate they are going, they are going to be up on the manga's ass in a few months.

They could slow down in upcoming episodes but I really can't wait until the next arc so after that they can slow down.

Also compared to the naruto episodes right now, they are using about 2 chapters per episode, which isn't much at all. People are comparing apples to oranges so that could be another problem. Bleach is almost all action where as Naruto is about half discussions and half action. Hell it has been almost four chapters for the Ichigo fight from 161 to 164. Well, actually, these upcoming chapters in naruto are mostly action but the anime is filling a lot in with more action scenes and flashbacks.
