Just finished playing DMC 3(yeah I know, Im a bit behind so shut up :P). Dante's pretty uber, so I started wondering how he would do against another group of uber people as well. And also just to have something different here in OB.

The enemies he's facing are:

Qui Gonn Jinn

Darth Maul

Obi Wan Kenobi(RoTS)

Anakin Skywalker(RoTS)

Mace Windu

Darth Sidious

Yoda

With Qui Gonn the first he'll face and Yoda the last. He's allowed to rest in between fights. He can use everything he has shown on DMC 3. Yes including his demon form. So will the Son of Sparda be able to make it out alive?

Dante will die against darth maul..but he will beat Qui Gonn Jinn with ease and he probly could beat anybody on their except for darth maul and yoda.

So if Dante would die against them, do you think Vergil could do any better?

the only reason dante loses against darth maul because im a darth maul fanboy.
somebody said yoda could move planets with his mind thats pretty immpressive.
and for your question Vergil would rape them all, except for darth maul:P

Oh? Well, since I'm a Vergil fanboy, I think Maul would be decimated by him with just a little bit of effort with Devil Trigger.

Edit: Woah, my post is now the same as that 747 plane thing.

Um Assuming Dante doesnt use a lightsaber he is dead right away.

If he did, he would probably be able to get through Qui-Gon and Maul. Anakin would force choke him, Obi-Wan has to great of defense, he could probably kill mace and sidious, but Yoda pwns all.

I don't really believe a lightsaber is any different from a real one (Here comes the flaming...) and if I recall, DMC1 Dante got stabbed right through the chest by Alastor, the sword with the power of electricity, mind you, and he slowly but surely gets right back up on his feet like nothing happened, except for the excess loss of blood, his regenerating capabilities are rapid.

^^i doubt ne of the sith will hit him just once though...and dante has never showed the ability to grow back lost limbs/head.

Good point Neji Kun. Dante can afford to take a few cuts before he's exhausted.

That said, Qui-Gon he'll beat. Lord Vader would pwn him with the Force but, since this is Anakin as of RoTS Dante would probably come out out top. Maybe with a few cuts.

I think he's going toe-to-toe with Maul...can't say...

...but he's definately getting cut though.

As for the Obi-Wan and Sidious, well, I suppose they're the true boss fights in this gauntlet. Obi-wan's defensive block and counter techniques are unparrelled amongst the others on the list. Worse however, is the fact that he's too damn clever. Its going to take more than sword skills.

Sidous is definatly going to be shredding Dante's coat with his lightersaber (if not killing him outright) throughout the opening of their fight. Only a matter of time before Sidious gets tired of Dante wasting his time, however, before attempting to Force Lightning dominate Dante like only a true Lord of the Sith can. One good careless opportunity for a sustained shot of Force Lightning is all it will take for the Sith Lord to come out decisively on top. Either way, be it Sidous or Obi-wan...

...Dante might want to bring a few yellow orbs with those two.

And as for Mace Windu and Yoda? Well, from there is simply breaks down into one question: Who would pwn Dante more? Mace Windu or Yoda?

Either way the Son of Sparda is royally screwed suicidally striking with his swords against those two supreme super-jedi (woot alliteration^_^). His ass is just plain getting beat down and that's it. Expect DMD-mode flashbacks watching that slaughter.

Now hold on there, cowboy. I asked a few posts ago about how Vergil would fare against them, since he's pretty much the opposite of Dante and doesn't go all headstrong. I'd say he'd give the more powerful Jedi/Sith a little bit more of a troublesome, if not threatening, fight. I'd like your opinion on how he'd do, assuming he has the Yamatou, Beowulf, Force Edge, and his Devil Trigger and Super Devil Trigger as if it was hard/Dante Must Die Mode.

To correct some misconceptions:

1. Yoda certainly cannot move planets with telekinesis. At least, he has never demonstrated anything near that ability. The largest thing he has moved is a troop dropship.

2. Anakin in ROTS before he was crippled was actually at his strongest point in life, he was weakened by losing the battle and having to wear the armor and life - support gear.

if yoda can lift a dropship which ways several tons i dont see how he couldnt just lift mr devil up several hundred feet and drop him on his neck then proceed to decap him.

Well I don't really know anything about DMC, I was just pointing out the facts about SW.

Something I always wondered... which is cannon? SW movies or books? And were the books written by George Lucas?

Death Fog

From what I know... The Expanded Universe books were written by other people. But George basically acknowledged EU and made it part of his SW movie universe. Someone can correct me if Im wrong though.

So which trumphs which? Movies > Books or Books > Movies? The books seem to make the movie characters 10000 times stronger than the movies. So which would we go by? And is there any source that the books are cannon?

Death Fog

It is widely believed that the books >>> movies. With people like Marka Ragnos, Exar Kun, Darth Revan(albeit he existed in a game, but KOTOR seems to be a part of EU) Naga Sadow, NJO Luke Skywalker, The Exile(another KOTOR character) ect that would make the Movie characters like Yoda, Sidious, Anakin, Obi Wan etc pale in comparison, IMO.

As for the source, I dont have any. I just heard from many people that Lucas accepted the EU as part of his SW movies universe. As I said, someone can correct me about this.

The highest level of canon is the movies, movie novelizations, screenplays, and radio dramas. Those are G - canon.

After that is the C - canon, that is, EU novels, guides, sourcebooks, comics, games (but only the plots of the games, not game mechanics), etc.

Then is the S - canon, things like stats from RPG sourcebooks and game mechanics.

At the lower level is N - canon, which are things that have been specifically declared to be non - canon. These include the "Infinities" label comics and the Star Wars Holiday Special.

Generally, anything from N canon is never acceptable as canon, whereas anything from S canon is acceptable as long as it is not directly contradicted by anthing from C or G canon, and anything from C canon is acceptable as long as it is not directly contradicted by anything from G canon. It's evaluated on a case - by - case basis, the guy who's in charge of the whole system even posts on the Starwars.com message boards to help sort out these issues.
