W'sup ..

I am new to the serie, but i caught up with it, however, i never really taken the opportunity to watch the movie. Now, ive checked the number of movies that was made, and there's quite some number. So which movie is one of the best that i should first watch?

I guess its best to elaborate how 'caught up' you are, but IMO; movie 4 is the most worthwhile. It has quite a true One Piece theme to it and has lots of good moments to it. The least worthy to watch is definitely movie 1, for someone whos very far in the series at least

Let's see....you should avoid Movie 1. That lacks of Sanji...:(

Movie 2 was ok...the crew (excluding Robin and Chopper) had their own fights except Nami XD You'll see why if you watch it.

Movie 3 wasn't that great...it was just an adventure and it had a crappy plot.

Movie 4 and 5 imo were the best so far. Good fights, but Movie 5's plot > Movie 4's Plot. Still, Movie 4 was like a roller coaster ride :D

Movie 6 is cool too. It was animated by the Digimon animators and had a nice feel to it. For Movie 7, it didn't have as much as fighting scenes as I thought, but you can see that Luffy starts to experience gear Second in this movie XD Plus, Nami and Robin's boobs go bouncy :nuts

Overall, you should watch Movie 4, 5, and 7 in no particular order. I totally recommend those movies :nod

I would suggest Movie 4 and Movie 6. My two favorites.

I think the last two are probably the strongest; I'd watch something cheerful after the sixth, though.

I agree. Movie 6 kinda get's at you for a moment.

It's tought to say if Movie 6 or 4 is better. I'm leaning toward my signature.

Movie 6 was definitely the most emotional :amuse but I think Movie 4 is the most popular as of now XD

If you have already caught up, I would suggest movie Four and Movie Six.
Movie Two was pretty good too imo.

4 and 6 were really cool.

I enjoyed all of them though.

I know Movie 6 was partially animated by Norio Matsumoto, who did the animation for Naruto episodes 30, 48, 71, and 133. So I'd probably watch that one only for the pretty animation.

6 has some pretty good scenes, and it actually has a pretty dark tone to it.

4 is definitely my favorite, though. It's a condensed version of what I like about One Piece: action (which is awesomely choreographed in this), humor, adventure, and- well, there's not that much drama, but there's some emotion in it.

1, 3, 5, and 7 aren't really that great. 1 is just boring, 3 has a terrible plot and ugly and unlikable new characters, 5 kind of screws up the existing characters (and while the animation is nice, the final fights are terrible), and 7 is pretty but nothing really special.

2 is kind of entertaining.

Movie 4 is one of the best anime movies I've ever seen. Story, art, animation...perfect.

6 is nearly as good. Wacky art style for the sake of beautiful animation. Story's great too.

Let me join in and say 4 and 6 are the ones worth watching. My favorite has to be 6 though. It's very entertaining and has some pretty dark moments to it. Four is great but the new characters steal the spotlight in that movie.

i'm a big fan of 4 and 7, though 7 had crazy amounts of uncessary fanservice.

I'd go with 4 and 6. The others are just...weird. And 4 and 6 feel like REAL movies instead of extended anime episodes, so to speak.

The best movie would be for me the 4th one for the simple reason that it doesn't do anything badly. IN fact it does everything very well. The main villian is a convincing part of the continuity and has an appropriately OP power. Furthermore the main secondary character of Shiraya Bascud is convincing and well executed. All the minor flavor characters and the various random interactions are fun and well executed down to the last drop.

The fights are beautiful and the backdrops evocative.

The sixth movie is the darkest, but that doesn't equate to good. There is a bit of an akira feel to it in the last few moments are dominated by a surreal darkness, and not that this cannot be good but it is a lazy escape from a cogent plot. That being said its bleakness is intoxicating in a way. I liked the fights that they do and it is convincing in the randomly amazing level of strength the main characters possess.

The movie about the cursed sword, number five if I remember correctly, has a nice feel to it and is similar to the 4th movie in that it holds very close to the OP feel. However its motivating plotline is no where near as good as the plot of the fourth and its emotional plot is nothing compared to the 6th movie.

Movie 3 has a score that is beyond awesome and some of the most amazing fights in the entire series, short perhaps but blazing in their speed and potent in their fluid sinuous power. It also has the most pathetic plotline in the entire world. Its villians are fun but you shouldn't come to the movie with any expectations other than to be aurally and visually wowed.

The 2nd movie is very fun. It like 3 has pretty brilliant fights but lacks the score and though it has a nice feeling plot and villian backdrop its also a wee bit forced. I liked it and would recomend it over movie 7 as a slightly better execution of the same basic concept.

Movie 7 is amusing for sure and the fan service is pretty potent, but I don't really connect or relate to it in a meaningful way. Its a decent fare but nothing to write home about.

Movie 1 blows a small dick. Not a big one but a dick none the less.

I was excited about seeing movie 4 until I read that, but I guess summing up One Piece in a few sentences always makes it sound bad...Anyone know a site that has direct downloads of these movies? If not I'll just do K-F.

LOL summing it up like that makes it sound like one of the more crappy movies. funny thing is that is what happens. but it's much cooler than what it sounds like.

im gunna wright an essay too :p

movie 6 is the most scary but coolist too because of the amazing bakcground like first there on the ship and then there at this huge carnival with merry-go-rounds and fire works and all that crap. then next minute they take the challenge (or test from hell) and try to "net the gold fish" thats huge
its beautiful, it moves at a fast pace so you wont get bored and most of all its one piece
bravo, one piece 5/5

movie 7 is kinda like movie 6 but the only thing is the action, but more like there trying to solve a mystery of what the villain is up to and to find a treasure called " the golden crown" or something. but the music keeps it from being dark. the action happends near the end and a little after the beginning.
the humor happends often like when nami snaps out all the time. although the only bad thing i can say is movie 7 has no action scenes with ussop, chopper and nico robin but there is a small scene where namis uses her thunder tempo. and nami and robin has bigger breasts in this one
4/5

the rest i have never seen
(but movie 3 does'nt count)

Oh, don't get me wrong, it is the most awesome One Piece movie there is. I was hesitant of watching it too after reading a little summary about it, but you won't regret it. It's quite awesome. ^_^
