Due to the fact that Lich is essentially Satan, Red Mage knows Ice 9 (a spell which could freeze the entire universe), Sarda can bend reality to his whim, Fighter's speed of sword is (according to him) faster than the speed of light, and Garland can summon giant marmosets, this is no contest. Sarda alone could kill any non-cosmic character.

Black-mage nuked the whole forest with staff-chucks. Lich is immortal. Kary blew up a volcano, Fighter went toe-to-toe with her with sword-chucks. Sarda and Dr Swordopolis is literally omnipotent. Thief can apparently time travel. Red Mage is a MIME, and can Ice-9. 8-bit verse also includes the people at Bahamut's trial...this means that BM's clone is included. This clone is evil and powerful enough to restore Black Mage back to his original form after he's been completely cleansed of any evil.
