Does Sun Wukong stand a chance against Superman? He can easily lift up somewhere near 15 tons (cudgel) compared to Supes who is alot stronger. Superman is also alot faster, Sun Wukong only moves 5 400 000 meters/s assuming he only needs 1 second to do a somersault. On the other hand, Sun Wukong can create copies of himself similar to Lobo's by plucking his hair and blowing it which creates one copy a hair I believe. He is also apparently indestructivbe, Heaven could not find anyway to kill him and had to ask Buddha to help instead.
Fight to the death, draw IS an option.

Kinda hard to kill an immortal
The Monkey King is immortal to the truest sense, he has gone to hell and crossed out his name from the death book (or w/e) as well as eating plenty of apricots that let someone live for thousands of years

If Wukong has any magical ability, he wins.
If not, it's a draw, as Superman cannot kill Wukong, and I doubt Wukong can KO Superman or anything without magic, even though he is pretty strong.

The mythological version does have magic, tons of it.

It took God himself to beat the Mythical version.

Actually, IIRC, the mythological version was beaten by Buddha, who was not God in that mythology, the God of that mythology was the Jade Emperor.

I know the version I was familiar with did have magic, but sometimes he doesn't.
I'd go with Wukong, since Superman can't really do much to harm him. Eventually.

This is a little bit of a misstatement, I think. Journey to the West combined Confucian, Buddhist and Daoist Alchemy mythologies. The Buddhas had their demesnes, the Jade Emperor his. It was always my impression from the translation I read that the Buddhas were regarded as the greatest single powers in the story. IIRC, the Monkey King became a Buddha at the end. I have no doubt that Post-enlightenment Monkey King would cream Superman.
I just wanted to say "Post-enlightenment Monkey King." Post-enlightenment Monkey King is the new Pre-retcon Beyonder.

I'm pretty sure Sun Wukong doesn't have the kidn of 'magic' you're thinking about. He's only got transformations and some other more indirect stuff(clones), but he does not have magic blasts or hexes.

Monkey King's magic is more deceptive, the magic back then wasn't your run of the mill fireballs. Most of Sun's magic was transformations
