Chocobos have h4x, though. Certain ones can walk on water, cross mountains, fly, be fat, you name it!

Fat Chocobo > Carue

Heh, fat chocobo > Bahamut in FF7 (all you need to is to get the tripple buster, with the three linked spots to fill with materiea, and three fully leveled chocobo/mog materia to fill it. Then a bug will appear that kills of all the enemies on the screen, even Sephiroth. oddly though, the monsters at the gold saucers is immune to this o.O

Chocobos all the way, Carue is smart but is not a natural fighter, In FFT you can train your chocobos into war machines.

Gold chocobos can go over anything, and fly in FF9. Those ducks however, can't.

Eh... Spot-Billed Duck Squad is smarter and also has Eyelashes, but Chocobos just win it for cute.

I have to say the Chocobos take it. I'm not fond of animals like Carue, and I like the sound chocobos make in FF IX "Kweh!!". Don't get me started on FF7 ones though...it sounds awful.
