Ah, excellent! The glory of episodes 89 - 96! I must have watched those episodes over and over again. The screentime Kabuto had in that section is, in my opinion, the best we've seen yet. After all, he schemed, he fought, he trash-talked, and he was so goddamned mysterious for five episodes straight. And he fought well.

Post time-skip, he's still there, but there's less fighting and more snide commentary. And snide commentary is good, but seeing an active Kabu-kun is nice as well. Granted, now that there's the advent of another crazy eye, perhaps we'll see something of Kabuto. I hope his style doesn't change. If he starts using snakes overmuch, I think I'm going to cry.

I think it's both, actually. 92 may be the one with the most action. Or something to that equivalent. And I completely know about he eyes. He looked adorable. Very off-kilter for a guy who looks to kill a protagonist. Then his eyes completely changed after that, and I suspect it was animation inconsistency, but that one episode was pretty cool.

I've been watching the Death Note and D. Gray-Man animes recently, which has been sucking out my soul...

The events before L's death scene were really, really well done in the anime. Really well done. Better than the manga. I can't really remember feeling too sad in the manga when L died. But the anime, it made me sad. Sort of. I'm a Light fan through and through, but L's death in the anime definitely made me sad. They did a very good job of it, yes, they did...

All is well. Good thing she went when she did though, because when they actually opened her up, it was a worse situation than they had thought. She'll be under observation for a couple days, then she'll be free.

So I'm happy, but disturbed by the fact that an appendix THAT rotted (according to the surgeon, he told her afterwards, even mentioned a smell of rot), could exist without the person knowing.

Now why does it take calamity for us to realize who the truly important people are?

Kabuto integrated Orochimaru's cells into his own, and now has a sort of piece of Orochimaru on his face.

I generally like the eyes best, too. That said, I'm not very fond of drawing Orochimaru's eyes. They keep coming out looking strange.

His eyes are wierdly shaped as compared to the others. His seem to curve more towards the tear ducts and the...other side of his eye...(I don't know what to call it).

Kabuto's eyes and glasses are hard to draw. His glasses never look circular to me. And the fact that his eyes are dark/black makes it hard-ish to color. But if you manage to get it right, he looks so cuuuuute. x3

The fic I’m reading now on FanfIc.Net is called ‘Kabuto’s story’ … I think lol and it’s pretty sad because its talking bout his sad childhood but the author said they want to put in some funny conversations between Kabuto and Oro and Kabuto and Sasori while he’s growing up (and hits puberty) which I can’t wait for!!!:amuse

I also read a funny fic on SasuKabu, I’m not a big fan of that pairing but the fic was realllly humorous. I’ll post a few recommendations when I fine them later…

I don't have any Kabuto or Orochimaru-centric, so...

I probably couldn't read SasuKabu or, especially, KabuSasu. But that's still not as bad as OroSasu or SasuOro. Just...seeing a fanfiction's summary for OroSasu or SasuOro makes me want to close the window.

OroKimi and KabuKimi have a similar effect, but it's a bit less than the reaction to OroSasu/SasuOro.

Really, the only pairing involving them I can read without clawing my eyes out is OroKabu/KabuOro. It's sorta sad that I'm so biased against those pairings, but... xD

I saw that on the search and thought it looked good, but didn't look because I was trying to find that one fanfiction.

Some people are firm believers that Tobi is Obito. Actually I met one of those at a Swedish community and her argument was "That Tobi is Obito is quite clear in my opinion, because their name are very similar and Tobi has been cut in half once (by Itachi, because he is Uchiha Obito). Tobi is one-eyed too, since Kakashi got one of his Sharingans. That's why he only got one hole in his beehive mask". Something like that translated to English. And when I read it again I wonder what Itachi is doing in all this... Might ask her if she meant Itachi's best friend whose name I have forgotten/can't spell.

What is known to me about the Akatsuki Leader at present though, is that he got the same mask as Tobi and got a Sharingan. Wether this makes him Tobi = Obito, I don't know.

Latest idea.

I'm sure there's a way I could stretch this into an essay or something for the theories section, but I don't feel like it.

You remember how Itachi consistently referred to himself as a Container? Container for Madara maybe? If Madara is less a person and more of an essence (Maybe somehow Madara IS the Sharingan or something), it's searching for the perfect Uchiha to inhabit. His target would seem to be Sasuke, but perhaps for now, he using Obito.

Obito was crushed in the Grass Country, Zetsu is from Grass, maybe he retrieved his body, and Madara temporarily uses it until he can have Sasuke. Why not take Itachi though? Maybe that WAS the plan, until Sasuke became Jesus, and Madara changed his mind.

Since Kyuubi knows Madara so well, maybe capturing all the Bijuu, including Kyuubi, relates somehow, and Madara can't make his final move until they have them all.

And if Pein's fill name is in fact Uzumaki Pein, and Yondaime is a relative there somewhere (Yondaime's bro? Naruto's Uncle?), then I'm in the Uzumaki versus Uchiha boat.

I think the reason Kishi is setting up the Uchiha clan to be Godly and numerous is to establish our antagonists (Complete with a sappy "Sasuke breaks away from the evil of the Sharingan and helps save the day" ending).

Not sure where Danzou and his plotting would come into play though, and not even gonna speculate on Blue-Hair at the moment.

One final thought, perhaps Itachi is actually against Madara and killed as many Uchiha's as he could in order to hinder Madara's choices... maybe. I dunno. I just get the feeling there's some benevolence inside Itachi somewhere.

And now, to keep it on topic. Kabutoro will assist the Uzumaki side. He even said he was inspired by Naruto. He will be an ally! ... And no doubt die, but oh well.

I agree. I see no reason in why Kabuto would want to start his own series of transmigrations. Let Orochimaru's dealings be his own.
Kabuto obviously has his own ambitions. And I like the whole Narutoesque, pseudo-self-overcoming-business.

If Orochimaru, or his ways or ambitions, absolutely have to return, then I'd prefer it be by his conciousness somehow awakening in Sasuke, at one point or another, and even that idea I'm not terribly fond of. (I wonder what Karin's reaction to that would be. Would she still be attracted to Sasuke? Or does she only care about his body...? Meh. I think even she feared Orochimaru to a certain extent. I don't really see her as a Bellatrix Lestrange-type character, at any rate).

If Kabuto keeps on splicing people into himself, then he may as well try the "Try to catch 'em all" thing with the Jinchuuruki as well. Or the Kakuzu method. Both being somewhat overused at this point.

While I'd prefer Kabuto to be completely independent of Orochimaru, that's not happening, so I'd like him to carry out whatever actions he can in his current state, I suppose. Post mastering Orochimaru. But he'll probably still keep the eye. Because once you have a creepy eye, you never can have a normal one again.

My friend got me volumes 18, 19, and 38 of Naruto!!! Any good fan of Kabuto knows what those are, right? :) (Well, maybe not 38.)

That better not happen, or, at least not the next time we see him in action. After all, he says he is going after Sasuke first, he can't get killed by the Uchiha without getting to go against Naruto as he said he would later! >.<

I want Orochimaru-sama to return, but if it means Kabuto dying...Then it would probably be an even trade. Orochimaru-sama is more likely to kill Sasuke than Kabuto, and if Kabuto died in Orochimaru-sama's place, Sasuke would have killed Kabuto in a rather bass-ackwards way.

But, I don't know how I'd react if Kabuto-san died for Orochimaru-sama, other than I'd be like, "More OroKabu sweetness! *tear*" :x

Why is Sasuke always at the center of so many of the cool villains' fates? And we know Itachi is fated to die by Sasuke's hand. Unless, Kishimoto pulls another twist on us.

You mean the angry red eye? I always just thought it was a sign of anger/bloodlust thing. I never consider it to be more than that despite anything anyone might have been saying.

I didn't notice it in the manga (and it would be hard to put red eyes in a black and white manga). Maybe it's just something the anime people put in.

nah. the bloodlust thing happened in the manga too...his eye went all bloodshot and the color of the iris changed (even in grayscale, Kishi manages to make it work...^_^). It was freaky.

Here's something that just popped into my head.

Anybody here a Lunar game series fan? Furthermore, a Ghaleon fan... or at least know of his role throughout?

Can anyone else see Kabuto's character arc ending similar to the way Ghaleon's did near the end of Eternal Blue? His talk of being inspired by Naruto's nindo leads one to believe something similar may occur.
