Which through a series of "logic" made me conclude that he is actually four times older than he says, and is using the same technique as Tsunade to de-age.

Bwa-haha, I've converted my sis to the dark side...sort of. Either way, after we watched the ep. where Kakashi and Kabuto duke it out, she was like, "Wow, that was pretty hot. Kabuto's pretty hot." And now she thinks he's hot. XP Actually, this happened a while back when the dub ep. aired, but for some reason I forgot to mention it. *feels like a good member for once because she mentioned something Kabuto-ish*

AL's great. He's seen to the crux of the problem with the social system; the ninja villages have ceased being mercenary forces, rather being the pillars of a country's economy, and that peacetime simply weeds out the smaller villages.

He's also got a great solution; by taking in the shinobis from the smaller villages, he can amass an army capable of taking on most tasks. Not only that, but because they're a true mercenary organization, they can have multiple bases, or even a moving base. Even without selectively creating and shutting down wars, they can still shut down the Great Ninja Villages simply because they have the large advantage of freedom of movement. It's a lot easier to have, say, S-Class Akatsuki number 74 who is stationed at the border between Wave and Fire Country to assassinate an official in Wave Country than hire Elite Jounin number 49 stationed in Fire Country to do so.

It's even better with the Bijuu creating their wars, with strategic placement and the fixing of the battles. Eventually, the ninja forces of all countries will wane, with the economy shifting to a more stable civilian based system. Either the ninjas are no longer able to keep up a steady rate of high performance and become nothing more than labourers for hire, or they train in an effort to outdo Akatsuki and lose the menial jobs. Either way, they'll end up dying out.

To me, this is all a rather unique way of going about it. Plus it's surprising, when we first saw Akatsuki meeting at the end of Part 1, did any of us go "OMGZ, clearly money grubbers!!!"

So that's my weigh-in. I like it.

Oh yes, and the Leader is Sarutobi's other son. Konohamaru's dad. Asuma's brother.

Well, the ninja villages have been a screwed up excuse for a society the whole way through. I've finally gotten around to watching the VotE stuff, and with the new information about Akatsuki in mind, I can say that Itachi was definitely talking about social reform even back then.

I'm very sympathetic to Akatsuki; I just wish AL wasn't stressing world domination so much.

It really did surprize me when the Akatsuki Leader stated that his main goal was world domination. But I actually liked the way he planned it. I mean, Metal Gear anyone? Outer Heaven? Awesome. Well played Kishi, well played.

Asuma died(nearly survived through plot no jutsu, but good for Kishimoto, he FINALLY realizes that the ninja world is a gigantic bloodbath), for one. A buncha new Akatsuki were revealed(well, not a bunch, but two). A new Jinchuuriki who got herself beaten right off the bat, a new Bijuu who got beat very promptly, and...and...and...and the addition of a convoluted new element to the chakra system that reeks of bad planning.

This is my current collection, and I certainly know that falsaluna has a lot more up now but they're harder to get now because the image is sectioned off into chunks to prevent stealing.

Both Stoptazmo and Mangatraders have it; I haven't checked the Mangatraders version, but I know that Stoptazmo's versions of several chapters(a significant portion of the Mello-Near part of the story) are of...less than good quality. Both have all 108 chapters, and Mangatraders also has a really great alternate ending somebody pieced together with a few original panels, spliced panels, and alternate scripting. Although it's a pain to read, since it's in a 4-koma format, but has like 18 katrillion panels. O.o

Does one get problems if someone knows ones true name in Death Note? Sounds like Mage, an RP system in the World of Darkness system.
World of Darkness also includes Vampire and Werewolf (I think). So if one play Mage one will most plausible meet vampires and werewolfs.

Thank goodness I actually know a little bit of Death-note enough to keep up with everything here (reread from a couple weeks ago. Seems busy recently). I'm right now reading up to the current Naruto chapter so I can actually comment in this fanclub again and also reading death-note. Kabuto with a death-note though... I actually don't think he'd use it all that much. He has more fun with a hands on approach. It'd be like asking him to use a robot to do medical stuff. He likes to get his hands messy.

I think Zaraki Kenpachi and Hoshgaki Kisame is cousins. Both are like two meter tall, built like a tank, seems to love battles and has a cute companion - though I might think that Kisame would prefer Yachiru because she is more cheerful and not dull as Itachi. But Zaraki, he didn't want Itachi, so he kept Yachiru and thus Kisame is a little jealous at Zaraki. And Itachi would only bother Zaraki because he would take away all the fun in the battle.

Actually.... ever tried to read 1984 by George Orwell? When I saw this movie, which do have a lot of actions and thoughts and thus problematics, I thought this must in some way have been inspired by 1984. Yet the control of the humans are a tiny bit diffrent, it still got similarities.

But then of course, the company might also matter for regarding the movie highly or not. It is still worth to be seen, eventhough its similarities with 1984, because a few humans tries to play Gods and we already has that in soceity. I'm thinking of the DNA manipulation, for instant.
