Noy bad for a first attempt. I don't even know how to make one (I just watch A TON of them), but I know there are at least three threads in this forum for finding good software for better picture quality. The main thing that held the video back was the scene choice and the length of each scene. Rarely do cuts that long make for a good video, usually they make it boring. The fix is simple: just take shorter (aim for an average of 1.5-2 seconds) clips and make them come from all over the anime at various points of action. Some good smiles or dramatic poses are cool too, but this particular music video had a relatively small amount of it(especially for that song). If you're worried about timing, just use techno music. It's hard for a punch or any action at all not to land on a beat. In case you haven't seen this one, here's some inspiration:
