The question is, what were we before being born? Did we notice anything, did we know abot anything, did we feel anything?....The nothing. There was no place to fear it as we do now, cause now we're conscious, back then we were not.

The fact of having or not having a soul, hell or heaven... is a matter of faith. Will we go back to where we come from? Will we be saved and go to a heaven or a hell? God knows...

I know I'm a good catholic but not a perfect catholic hence why I need to go to confession. There are such things as good christians some better than others but not perfect christians because we are only human not god. And to answer the question I believe that your body will go to the earth while your soul will move on to heaven, pergatory, or hell which depends on you.

I see that most of you are atheists.
Personaly, I think that beliving in "life after life" is essential for one's own good. You just are less worried/afraid of death.

I truly belive in God and I hope some day to go to Heaven and live there eternally whitout worries.

to me a person just dies. now i dont wanna make this a religious thread or anything but according to many religions christianity especially there is a life after death and you have a spirit that comes back to life. well here is my take. a soul is something that has to do with FAITH. faith usually lacks scientific evidence in this case a soul or inside self is all processed through the brain. people talk to them selves inside their brain they process wat they want to and when they want to. so if the brain which processes the spirit or after life pursay(sp?) dies how does one have an after life or spirit? to me it is impossible for something that is alive through the imagination and processed by your brain to come to life is simple phsycially not possible so wat happens when u die...you die your mind no longer processes anything thats it...

There are many things that science cannot explain like when someone mysteriously is cured from an uncureable illiness. Also most of science is nothing but theories some that can be proved others that cannot but are just generally believed. Just like a long time ago everyone knew the world was flat or that science told people that bathing with soap was bad for you. Science gets disproven a lot also the fact that some people keep going when all science points to the fact that they should not be able to. I believe that your mind is only able to do things in the physical reality but in a higher realm of reality is where your spirit is and that is what's left after you die. It continues on it's journey either to heaven, hell, or purgatory depending on your life.
