I was reading about this guy on wikipedia and he seems pretty tough.

Why use pre-skip? Rasengan is the only thing that might hurt Savage Dragon.

Actually I shoulda said why use Naruto. Genjutsu has a chance of working, but I doubt any physical attack Naruto does is gonna stop Savage Dragon, atleast permanently. He could heal from most of the damage Naruto could dish out, and 1 or maybe a few more hits from SD is gonna KO or kill Naruto. It's been awhile since I've read his comics, but he can lift around 20-30tons. I don't see Naruto wining.
