Might be prototype form and they still need to go find a polyglyph or two to fully unlock it which would set up for a new arc.....

I think Franky and Iceburg will build them their new ship. As well as the rest of the Galley-La. Tom taught Franky and Iceburg everything he knows and that means they are probably capable of building an amazing ship. After all, Tom did build Gol D. Roger's ship.

I think franky already bought a new ship with that 200 million beli, which he will donate to the strawhats. That money is one of the loose ends of this arc and it ties up perfectly if this comes true. I might go something like this:

- franky is so moved by going merry's death, he donates "his" new ship to the strawhats
- because of this donation, franky is invited to become one of the strawhats
- that money was meant for a new ship anyways so
- ussop can return to the strawhats, as it turned out alright for him

btw, what ever happened to that other 100 million beli???? :huh

They had trouble with the marines at a bounty of 239 million. I imagine serious trouble from the government when out at sea. A ship that can take on large numbers of marine ships would be sweet; have an anti-ballistics hull and/or weapons of some sort. A simple pirate ship wouldn't last too long in the Grand Line, except for Merry of course. (:cry)

Actually, I don't like the idea of weapons on a ship. I like the idea of marine ships are cannon fodder in that the Straw-Hats can easily take them down without much trouble, kind of like what Hawkeye/Ace can do (and proven, others can probably do it too). They are probably still too weak to reach the 'kill every ship in under 3 seconds' phase but maybe they are strong enought to take down a ship without reflecting cannons back to the firing ship as a main naval warfare technique.
