old RPGs and remake stuff

First off,

From what I have been hearing awhile back square enix gave a poll in Japan asking which games they would like to be remade.

Chrono Trigger was on that list and really caught my eye.
Now I assume that FF3 won and is now being remade for DS, either way I'm sure that they had a large vote if anything.

I'm not saying i want them to remake and ruin Chrono Trigger, just rerelease it on GBA or DS if anything with spruced up graphics and MAYBE some extras (like they have with the old FF's for GBA).

If they did remake it completely, I would have to go with cell shading on the game, it would be bright and would work great with Toriyama's character designs (like past games exp. dragon quest 8)

Also, does anyone really want a remake of FFVII?
to me it would just make everything prettier, if they added anything to it, then they might f it up a bit.....either way a remake will take awhile, but will have great sales.

They should make a remake of Mario RPG, That was a great game and it also looked great, I cannot see it transformed into a huge project for the next gen systems, but a port would be fun, no?

And finally what "remakes" would you guys like to see or not see? (in terms of RPGs I guess)

Chrono Trigger is a dream come true for CT/CC fans.

I would also like a remake of FFVI (update the graphics and greaten the audio quality, THATS IT!)

I wouldn't mind a CT remake, as long as they don't fuck it up. I don't want a FF7 remake though, considering how the Compilation of FF7 has turned out so far. A Mario RPG remake, as I said with CT, don't fuck it up. I'd love a port though.

I can't think of anything I'd want remade right now.

Mario RPG for any RPG.

The original X-Com or "Masters of Magic" for any genre.

Truthfully enough, I don't care for a CT remake. A port to a portable system would be nice, but as for remaking the game, why fuck with perfection? They'd come up with some nonsense ideas for "enhancing" the game, and mostlikely ruin an already perfect soundtrack, and possibly mess with other things.

FF6 is also fine as is and has already gotten what it needs.

A mario RPG remake would kick ass. That last boss was great, but it got realy repetitive. It wasn't difficult to defeat it, but the fight lasted too long fir petesake. I say they should reduce it's life points, and if that's a hastle, then trade off by making him harder.

A game I'd really love to be remade is Final Fantasy Legends (Saga) 1-3. That would kick major ass.

Final Fantasy III is already made for the DS unless you are talking about Final Fantasy VI with that number. I wouldn't mind a FF6 remake, even though I never beat it yet I own it. I really would love a Chrono Trigger remake because the music in that game was outstanding.

I'm not really interested in remakes anymore. They already have FFVI coming out on the GBA with extra cotnent, and minor boosts, I'm happy with that.

Chrono Trigger is good enough as it is, no need to muddle in that at all, as far as I am concerned.

Yea FFVI is already starting to be remade for GBA, FFIII is done in japan also.

I dont really want to see CT remade in 3d or anything, but a port to GBA or DS would be awesome! If there was a remake, then there would be something wrong with it some way......really could care less, i would still play it, but to all the people who havn't played the original wouldn't know how it came to greatness in the first place. meh

it would be great to play one of my favorites anywhere that i go lol (same with SMRPG)

For sure, I would still play a CT remake, I'm not going to try and fool anybody.

But, I don't really have a wanting for it to be remade. I can't think of any game right now to be remade. Maybe... Super Mario Bros. 3, IN 3D!! :amazed

i wouldn't mind a CT remake if they gave a faithfull translation of the game, since i read that the snes ver. was greatly censored....

now my curiosity grows...

But FFVII would just be so beautiful on the PS3
it would be system seller for all FF fans thats for sure
