Monster Hunter Freedom 2 - It's only a japan release for now but with the pretty good sales in the US i'm almost sure it'll be coming here too. This will be Monster Hunter 2 + with new added features. Looks to be fun and exciting!

It's a pity Capcom didn't put online play in either of the PSP MH games. I really enjoyed PSO, and this definitely looked like it could have provided a similar experience with 3 friends.

Monster Hunter has potential, I just hope they fix the oh-so-many annoying flaws that the first game had. I've never been so frustrated with a game in my life. I'm hoping for the best..

Flaws? When the postives can cover the flaws it speaks for itself. Seriously though it had bearly any flaws. I've never played such a fun game for PS2 with four people and on MY psp it's even funner since i get to go out with it. Please tell me these "So many" annoying flaws? One better not be aim since you just suck if you cant aim with it. Only thing i can see is the camera and that's it.

Oh, don't get me wrong I like the game but I thought it could've been a little better I guess. Well, the wyverns attacks are really glitchy it seems. For example, when you're behind one, and it charges foward, you get hit and recieve full damage. I don't know why that happens, but it really ticks me off sometimes. Using the analog stick to attack is annoying, I mean at least let us customize the controls if you're gonna do something like that. The camera is a little difficult but I got used to that, although you already named that one. When I first got the game I thought it would be a vast world, yet theres only a couple places to go. That was a little disappointing. Theres a lot of cheaters, idiots, and noobs when you play online so, that kind of sucked. Also, there are some more minor things I won't mention. Maybe I'm just being negative and picking the game apart but oh well.

^Yeah i take apart games somtimes too, but all in all those are minor problems that can be passed if you ask me. I agree with the camera but anolog stick i like alot, especially on the PS2 for monster hunter 2 it was fun. Also Monster Hunter two fixes those glitchy hits. I understand what you mean but i roll alot so it doesn't bother me. All in all it deserves better then a 5/10 IMO but yeah there are minor problems.

There is a way to play online with people from around the world on Monster
Hunter Freedom actually. You simply need to download the free program Xlink kai
and buy Wifi Max. If you want more information, just ask me.

Eh i honestly think its retarted to have to rely on 3rd party software to jump online with it. The PSP does not get the updated quests or any fancy online stuff the consoles get from there online experiences.

Its neat to use the 3rd party to play friends far away but it is not perfect compared to the online the console verisons of Monster hunter have and Capcom could have done better in this category for the PSP verison.

You're right, they should have implemented a full-blown infrastructure mode, but as you said, it's a great alternative if you're still dying to get online. Using Xlink kai also has 1 big advantage over infrastructure though, coz you can chat with the people you play with through the program.

Btw, I'm also very excited about MHP2 coming out, even though I've heard it won't have infrastructure either... Good thing I still got Wifi Max. ^^

there ever gonna be a new Monster Hunter that isn't for PSP in America? I'd like to try it... despite how I complained about the first one a couple months ago :sag

I guess you'll have to wait for Monster Hunter Frontier on the PC, or Monster Hunter 3 for the PS3.

Other than that, Monster Hunter 1 had a release on the PS2 all over the world (including the US), so you could start playing that. Be warned though that MH1 is about the same as MHF on PSP, but it has less features than the PSP version.

The extra PSP features honestly made me forget about Online cause my friend and I teamed up alot to play. 2 is going to PSP, and 3 for PS3, and frontier for PC.
