Q: Why is Tsunade Awesome?
Answer:
-She can get a job as a wrecking ball if the ninja thing don't work out
-She is the freaking Hokage...
-The only female character who's strength really stands out
-The only person so far who has PUNKED Orochimaru
-Put Naruto in his place with one finger
-She knows how to live, getting drunk and gambling is the way to go!

Tsunade, besides being close to immortal, is THE medic nin. And she is the
-HOKAGE-. This means that she is the most all-around skilled shinobi alinged with Konoha(except Jiraiya.) She is practically immortal, besides. And, with Tsunade's strength... ONE hit, maybe two if someone is really hardcore, and they're chunky salsa.
Tsunade, alone, weakened from Kabuto's attacks, made Orochimaru, Kabuto, and their Megasnake of Longinus run like little bitches.
She totally crushes any and everything. If she gets a hidden-in-the-mist technique or gets her chakra holes poked, she can pick up GAMABUNTA'S FREAKING OFFICE-BUILDING KNIFE and throw it in their general direction.

How does Tsunade compare to the other Hokages? We know she's not as strong as Sarutobi, but is she really the weakest?

Well I'd have to say she's stronger than Sarutobi was, in fact she's stronger than anyone else in the anime that I know of. However, she isn't the professor, eg she doesn't know just about every ninjitsu in the world. Plus she doesn't have the coolest damn summon, King Enma! However, I think some of the coolest stuff with Tsunade fighting is of course in "Negotiations Breakdown" when she tears up the town trying to hit them and when she breaks through Konohamaru's (sp) traps instantly.
