vile can fly too (mmx...3?). also, vile's attacks can cover the groud (though that will obviously not help too much against fett's jetpack)

i can't really remember the rest of viles attacks, but at least for mmx games, he was relatively quick. given that in mmx you can dodge lasers, i'd venture out to say that in terms of speed, vile has an advantage. what do you think about that rild? i'm just speculating

Vile has the Speed advantage. But I think Jango has the weapons advantage.

I'll give it to Vile. In the beginning of MMX, Vile came with a riding armor from a ship, so he obviously has both. He is also designed to be a war machine, their technological equipment might about be the same, and if I remember correctly, Vile has a boosterpack as well, just as Jango. Just that Jango is a human in an armor and Vile is a full-fedged Maverick, the right hand man of Sigma, and was giving both Megaman X and Zero trouble. He even managed to capture Zero towards the end of the MMX game (ignoring the fact that Zero later broke out again, but he managed to capture him first, which means something).

I'm giving this to the sadistic Maverick.

True. But he was also killed by one rather easily. By the way, is this Vile from Mega Man X or from Mega Man X3? The version from MMX 3 definitely takes this going by how he was revived and upgraded by Doppler and turned completely insane. He even wrecked an entire stage completely with his Goliath-armor, which would be the equivalent to a very large building.

If this is Vile from X1 then they might be almost equal but I still think Vile is more durable, and if he is granted his ride-armor he takes it definitely, going by how durable the thing is.

Vile is just as intelligent as a human, he's vicious, strong, fast and durable. I don't think Jango's armor is inpenetratable, which is why I believe Vile is more durable and will eventually last longer. When X fought him first and blew up his riding armor with a huge explosion, Vile was still in it.

Okay, I'm talking about details in a game that obviously wasn't paying much attention to those but still, one could say he came out nearly unscratched.

Vile is known for his sheer brutality and gruesomeness. But that doesn't mean he's a dumbass with a blunt fighting style. In fact, his moves are pretty versatile.

Also, how would Jango know about the specifics of Vile?

Well, we don't know if there are any plans left from Vile's construction, so they are either at one of Sigma's bases or in some archives in the Maverick Hunter Base since Vile once was an elite hunter of the 17th unit before he was kicked out and became Sigma's right hand man.

though hes not particularly weak against electric like attacks. spark mandrill's weapon doesn't do much to him.

EMP-guns/blasts/whatever might actually work against Vile, provided he does get hit or he doesn't have a force-field upgrade against them, since both of them are granted a week of preptime.
