Being vs Controling

Just wanted to see how the majority of people see this one.

I for one, think a person that can control something should be able to overpower someone that is that thing. Say like when Thor was fighting Ego and he started making storms all over the place, Ego couldnt stop him. And when Thor(Masterson) was fighting Gladiator and he made living lighting hit Gladiator Living lighting couldnt(or it seemed) resist.

I saw that there was a Croc vs Sandman thread right? Well if Croc can control sand why cant he control Sandman?

Or is it just powerlevels and one overpowers the other based on their power

It depends on the extent of their control.

Well, Sandman isn't really sand. He's a sand like substance.

If equal powerlevels and no specific immunity: Controlling should win.

However, to often, controling and being go hand in hand. For example: Crocodile could control and was sand at the same time.

Interesting question. I don't know. If Enel from One Piece can turn into electricity/lightning, Ginji Amano from Get Backers should be able to absorb him since he can absorb Electricity when he is in Raitei-state. But I kinda doubt it would work that way.

Like Coaxmetal said, u generally aren't something and yet not being able to control it. If that were so, you couldn't do anything. So anyone who is something can control it. So it goes to whoever has more control.
