The Hunters were sent to retire the Strawhat for connections to Sigma.
But the Strawhats are expecting them, thus resorting in a showdown.
One week Preptime on a island. All-out showdown.
If this if a mismatch in either side(If I saw a huge mismatch, I wouldn't have the thread.)Post your grievance and and if they hold true, consider this thread dead.

I'm not up to date with the new Megaman X char....
I've heard of Axl, but the rest are clueless to me =/
I doubt any1 can block Zero's saber...i mean Luffy would be taking a big risk by figthing against him.

Ahh...Dynamo I remembered by his cowboy-ish hat. Yea, he has twin sided saber and with Zero together, they're going to be trouble for the Straw Hats.
Well, Robin could always crack their necks, but they have strong armor so it'ls less likely their armor would be damaged by her. Luffy and Sanji could surely damage them, but X and Axl's buster shot would give them some problems to attack back. I'm still not sure which team has the higher advantage, but probably Luffy can bypass Zero and dyanamo's saber, which won't be easy.

High Max Tosses giant energy balls and has a energy field around him at all times in battle. It takes a lot of damage to take that field down.

Because I don't post in them, I draw people into threads.

Maybe you should simply stop your pathetic whining? Get out of your dress and act like a man.
I don't know the full extend of the powers of the Strawhat Crew since I stopped watching the anime after they were fighting Enel... but it seems they have advanced quite a bit. Tough match.
But somehow I can't see the Mega Man universe group losing this... they are advanced pieces of technology from the future, each of them has incredible power, and I don't see anyone simply snapping their necks or doing them so much damage that they won't function anymore. Both Megaman and Zero have taken incredible damage and were still "alive", it would take the Strawhat crew quite something to even bring them in this state without receiving major damage themselves.
I don't know if Zero is allowed to go Maverick, then his power jumps again significiantly. Also, I don't see anything in the OP verse stopping his beam sabre and if he is allowed to use his Z-Buster, then he has even a powerful distance shot that could wreck buildings.
High Max was even difficult to take down with either MM or Zero, he is pretty much on a level where it is close to impossible to the strawhats to even harm him. Axle comes with a variety of different attacks, both middle and far range, he can inflict quite some damage and his attacks are confusing as he uses illusions.
Dynamo managed to get out of two fights minimum with either Zero or Megaman alive. Okay, he basically knew when he would've lost so he retreated but he's smart and by no means weak himself.
Strawhat crew might give the Reploids a nice match in the beginning but on the long run I don't see them surviving this battle.

EDIT: 'scuse me. I confused Axl with Axle the Red (one of the Mavericks). Can't give any information about Axl so scratch what I said about him. But he seems to be quite strong and an awesome marksman, so to speak.

Anyway,
Axl is a prototype of the new generation Reploids that has the ability to copy Reploid and Mechaniloid DNA programs and adapt them to his own use in copying their appearances as well as their weaponry. This can only be done to Reploids and Mechaniloids with humanoid shapes and he can only maintain the form for so long.
Axl also has an ability similar to X's Ultimate Armor. This is when Axl's thrusters (located on his heels) activate allowing him to hover in the air for a short while before overheating. His main weapon, the Axl Bullets, allow him to shoot a steady stream of fire at enemies while at the same time being able to aim in every direction. This makes him similar to a character from the Classic Mega Man series named Bass.
Finally, Axl has a gimmick move he can perform in place of a dash allowing him to roll. In Mega Man X7, this rendered him completely invincible and could even slightly damage enemies with the right upgrade chip. In Mega Man X8, this move was slightly watered down to only blocking energy shots. While still useful, it was not quite as versatile as it was in the previous installment. This roll is quite similar to the roll Megaman Trigger executes in the Mega Man Legends series.

Gate was a member of the Reploid Research team with Alia, and they both were geniuses in the field. However, while Alia followed procedure, Gate was somewhat of a rebel. He created absolutely marvelous designs in Reploid engineering, but his ultimate view was that the perfect Reploid could not be analyzed. This was a notion he got from the data of Mega Man X's and Zero's data, which was famed for being impossible to crack. He succeeded in making Reploids who's data could not be analyzed, but this made distrust grow amongst his colleagues.
When some of his Reploids began to act erratically, the Reploid Research team staged elaborate ploys to have them disposed of in seemingly accidental ways. Shunned by his peers, Gate vowed revenge and buried himself in his work as his colleague Alia went onto the Maverick Hunters and assisted X and Zero in the Eurasia incident. When he went to inspect the site himself, he found a small mechanical fragment. Realizing it was Zero's DNA data, he went insane and was overcome by a virus (be it the Zero or Sigma Virus, it is still unknown). He revived 8 felled Reploids that he had either created or known before they died, and used Zero's DNA data to create High Max, the Nightmares, and the Zero Nightmare. Employing the assistance of a mysterious but charismatic Reploid, Isoc, he devised an elaborate plot.
The 8 revived Reploids were called "investigators" by Isoc and High Max, who went public and raised paranoia about Gate's Nightmare creations. They claimed to be trying to get to the bottom of this, and used it to draw Reploids nearer where the Nightmare could overtake them. The Nightmare was a mind-control device used to bend all Reploids to his will. With humans underground (due to the Eurasia incident) and the Reploid population constantly getting smaller, it was the perfect time to control all Reploids on Earth and create his own personal Utopia.
The Zero Nightmare helped the cause by making the public believe that Zero had been infected by Nightmare, thus emphasizing its danger. It also served the double-purpose of attempting to draw out Zero so that Isoc could find him, for Isoc seemed obsessed with the now-missing Hunter. X defeated the Zero Nightmare and the real Zero came back to the Hunters, assisting X in getting to the bottom of the Nightmare incidents. One way or another, Gate was eventually found out, and invited X and Zero to his laboratory. They rushed there and defeated the Nightmare Mother, at which time Gate revealed that it was not his skill alone, but Zero's DNA that allowed him to construct such creations. This enraged the Hunters, and they went to destroy him. As they progressed in the lab, they confronted High Max and destroyed him. By the time they had arrived at Gate, he confessed that he had no creations left to fight for him.
Instead, he revealed a fearsome battle body he had constructed using Zero's DNA. X and Zero, however, defeated this too. Gate lay on the floor broken and battered, and seemed almost sane again. But he confessed while laying on the floor that he had brought back the evil Sigma. Sigma blasted him with an energy beam out of seemingly pure visceral rage, and X and Zero went to defeat him. Once Sigma had been brought down, X brought Gate's remains outside the laboratory to take back to Hunter Base. Alia found him with the remains, and told X that she'd do her best to repair him, despite his seemingly un-repairable injuries.
Personality
Gate's character is somewhat of an enigma, because we see his true character very little. Most of the scenes that he appears in, he is using his inborn intellect and seeking vengeance for past actions that happened to him, but he is under the influence of the virus, so it is not truly him. Though Gate did vow vengeance, the scene that we see him in before he is driven insane, and the short snippet of dialogue after he seems to be recovering, would imply that he's by nature a fairly peaceful being. Angered by the unjust actions taken against him, he probably thought often of revenge, but never allowed himself to go through with such an action until the virus corrupted his mind. In the same light, he probably sometimes pictured the ideal world for Reploids, but such a fantasy would never have involved mind-control and destruction, as it did when he was insane. Gate, the true Gate, is obviously very intelligent and seemingly fairly peaceful. He regretted the destruction caused by Eurasia, and appeared almost distraught over the amount of lives lost. Later, after he was defeated, he said that he would probably regret having brought back the "evil Sigma." The word "evil" in that sentence is crucial, because his actions while he was insane were certainly evil, but he never recognized them as such. Recognizing Sigma seemed to indicate that he was starting to regain control of his mind. And Alia's promise to try to repair him seems to indicate that his mind is recovering or looks promising for recovery, since Alia probably would not repair a Reploid that was still under the viral influence.

Wow..so he's behind the creation of these badass reploids? This pushes my confidence into thinking that Megama X team has a chance. I really see no way for Luffy or any of the Straw Hats to break High Max's shield...Their tech is too advanced for the OPverse.
