i think it's inevitable that sasuke and neji will eventually fight. whether hardcore fighting or sparring. i think somehow they'll fight. don't ask why i just have that feeling. sharingan vs. Byakugan, uchiha vs. hyuga. genius vs. genius. i know everyone wants to see it. but do you think it wiill happen?

And to add to that, Neji personally believes only naruto is able to pull Sasuke from the 'darkness', as Naruto did with him.

More probable fights involving Neji or the other Konoha Genins would be more extra villains in the future.

Sasuke would be fighting Naruto, Itachi and possibly Kabuto.

And no way Naruto would let Sakura interfere when he fights Sasuke. He's said it before.

yeah thanks i meant sasuke/neji. i don't think it'd be a huge battle, i think it'd be somewhat like the itachi/kakashi fight....short and easy, that way kishi can show how much sasuke has improved and still make it so sasuke doesn't lose too much chakra. maybe sasuke will come back to the village to destroy konoha (or something) and wander upon neji training by himself. neji tries to stop him and sasuke demonstrates his new powers. but unlikely....yeah after i think about it for a sec.

Sasuke and Naruto are so beyond Neji's level it's not even funny. You think he can stand up to Level 2 cursed seal or Naruto's Demon chakra? I think the manga has made it so Neji and Sasuke can no longer fight on equal grounds, even though it was a good idea during the era of the Chuunin exams.

Over years its very possible for Neji to be on equal grounds with them. There's a lot of things you can do with that type of chakra control and the fact that you can kill if they touch or their or the opponent's chakra touches their body. Either way he was strong before, now he's getting training from Hiashi he just will get a lot stronger and most likely learn more techniques. It would be more likely for him to be as strong as them in time.

If Sasuke continues to use the curse seal well it has been said what will happen. Your body will erode and you will lose will. I don't think Orochimaru will want that to happen to Sasuke's body. I would think he will remove the curse seal.

In a fair world maybe, but Naruto and Sasuke are two of the main characters. It's a flase hope to believe that anyone other then Naruto or Naruto + Sakura will beat Sasuke, especially Neji.

We're basically being set up with a Tenshinhan vs Goku and Vejita. Sure Tenshinhan had great skills, and genius nearly as high as Goku but in the end Goku and Vejita were still massive power whores.

So are Naruto and Sasuke.

ummm....i think sasuke has a better chance at the moment due to his curse seal. but who knows? neji is said to be a genius and possessed one of the most advanced bloodline in konoha. so in terms of bloodline, sasuke and neji are prolly on equal ground for sharingan can copy jutsus whereas byakugan can see the enemies' chakra pores. also, neji is now trained by the master of the hyuuga family who might teach him special techniques that only the hyuugas can learn and master. both sasuke and neji are talented youngesters of the leaf, so it's difficult to say who will win three yrs later. however, if sasuke acquires addition power (not neji) like curse seal level three or some jutsus he learn from orochimaru that give him a major power-boost, it's most likely that sasuke will win.

No, they won't fight. because the only people who Sasuke will have good fights with are:

Naruto
Kakashi (maybe)
Orochimaru
Itachi

because those allow for angst.

that means his other fights will only serve to show off how strong he's become. which means killing multiple ANBU members with ease and/or kicking the crap outta Rock lee.

It'll never happen. Neji's character-status isn't high enough for him to warrant such a high-profile fight anymore, and the logistics of it would be a nightmare in story-terms. Furthermore, the strength of the high-level Jyuuken (as seen be the couple of times we've briefly seen Hiashi in "action") is basically one-kit kills/KOs. So the result of the fight would be either Neji wins in 5 seconds, or Neji can't get close enough, a more likely alternative.

I mean, in any capacity that Neji would 'win' this fight, Sasuke would be dead. Either he gets one-shot, or his chakra gets sealed up, which leaves him helpless, and soon dead/captured. I doubt Kishi would make the end of Sasuke's arc/independence come at the hands of someone who amounts to a minor background character. If Sasuke were to win, it would not really advance the story unless he killed Neji, which would cement his status as renegate/Evil, a thing the author has avoided thus far. So basically, this fight would serve no purpose.

Assuming it was Neji against an Akatsuki member then that would mean that it would probably be someone like Kisame (not gai) what better way to defeat a person with Huge CHakra than to pit him against someone that will disable it?

For one Neji's my favorite character by far... so i may be a little baised... lol Neji and Sasuke would never fight. Period. Neji wins because he can force chakra through his palms now... Neji with a ranged attack... pwns. But I agree he will more than likely fight an Akatsuki.

Sadly it's almost impossible to happen. It was a possibility in pre ts ; but no more in post ts .Would be a great fight between Byakugan & Sharingan.

Post ts - Close but CS2 gives Sasuke some advantage

Now ; Neji is no different from Ino or Tenten for the plot. Damn it
If he was given some of the screen time Deidara or Shika was given everything would be better

yeah neji is no different for the plot than ino almost, but keep in mind he isn't that bad off yet.

he has fought kisame clone and he is now a jounin, he has ranged attack too.

plus, his old abilities are still impressive.

when he was a genin he killed a decent strength chunin, now he's a jounin with new ranged attack.

so don't count neji out yet.



he can go toe to goe with an akatsuki, a lower tier one,but still he can and with good chance of winning.


sasuke would be too much not because of the speed because even lee knew he had to be gated to stand a good chance against neji's true speed, sasuke at best is gated lee/alittle over gated lee speed now after summoning feat.he neji has gotten faster too, especially with points of divinity and etc, so he could just barely keep up enough to not get owned, but the real reason sasuke would win is because of his other powers and his level of genius is at/just over neji's.

nejis a great fighter but i cant picture him defeating sasuke. First off he wont be able to hit him, close range wont work and if it does he alwasy has chidori nagashi. Long distance will be easy for sasuke to dodge. Sasukes speed could arguably out maneveur the byakugan. Sasuke has mad genjutsu. Also if this fight did happen do u think kishi woulld let neji beat sasuke, even if neji has him by the throat kishi will pull some sharingan shit andbreak him free. Kishi loves sasuke too much to let him be defeated by neji.

It might happen, but it'd have to be looooong down the road. Sasuke would either have turned himself totally over to evil and be an uber-bad guy, thus letting Neji get a preliminary fight in before Sasuke goes on to fight Naruto, or he'd have to turn good guy and come back to Konoha and spar with Neji.

Then again, maybe some more featured characters (Kakashi, Tsunade, Jiraiya, Pain) could die, and then Neji might move up to 1st or 2nd tier before that. Kishi has such an extensive line-up, he should switch out his players a lot more often and leave Naruto at home once in a while.

Kishi's like that kid playing Magic the Gathering and has a Shiva Dragon, so he always has to make a deck around that one card. Boooooring.

If it did happen, I bet Sasuke'd be surprised and almost die before he had to jump over to his BS Sharin- I'm sorry, MS Sharingan powers. Neji whips your ass before you even know your ass is in danger. Maybe he's the one who finally breaks all of Sasuke's limbs and drags him back to Konoha for brainwashing. You never know.

Does anyone think Hinata or Rock Lee would make a difference if either one was thrown on Neji's side? I promise I won't grandstand.

genjutsu dosen't work on the byakugan i belive in one of the earlier chapters the byakugan can see through it ( possibly even sharingan )

Nope, they are 100% most likely wont fight...there wont be a reason and when sasuke returns all will be good friends, manga finished and a happy ending tale of Naruto/Sakura/Sasuke as the new legendry 3. these 3 will be the strongest in their village thats why they are called main heros and its over.
