Top 10 Anime Hero's

Together with your top 10 villians, off course also comes a top 10 list.
The rules are simply, simply vote from one to 10, on either heroic, or even people who are a little bit well, less of a hero.
Also this is not a general list, it has to be your PERSONAL choice.

The only thing he or she has to BE is one of the LEADING men(or woman) in the anime. You can use characters from either: tv series, movies, Ona's, or Ova's. No specials, or promo's

[Pasty]

1. Luffy(One Piece), I was turned off my one piece for so long because I hated not only the art style, but Luffy's appearence. 6 months ago I finally gave the series a chance and I've never looked back. Luffy is just the perfect protagonist, such an amazingly developed character.

2. Alucard(Hellsing), I guess he's a hero right? When you watch hellsing you're constantly thinking 'is there any way possible for this guy to die?'

3. Spike(Cowboy Bebop), he's just so awesome. He's not like some inhuman awesome like Alucard or Luffy, but an almost realistic awesome. In the last couple episodes you're mouth is just wide open over watching this guy.

4. Masataka Takayanagi(Tenjho Tenge), the first fight between him and Nagi says it all. That fight had me aw, too bad that was the highlight of the series in episode 1.

5. Mugen(Samurai Champloo), he just had a vibe about him, really cool character with a fun fighting style to watch.

6. Shikamaru(Naruto), looking forward to his fights is probably the main reason I still keep up with Naruto. He has a really interesting personality. He comes off as really lazy and unreliable, and yet he's probably the person you can count on most in the naruto universe. I really wish more of the fights revolved around strategy much like the way Shikamaru's fights were, but hey what can you do.

7. Guts(Berserk), ya this guy is awesome, there's really no explanation needed.

8. Van(GunXSword), his personality reminds me of Shikamaru but he's not very smart. He has kind of a funny look about him but he really surprises you.

9. Goku(DB), as lame as the DB might be now, Goku is still probably the model shonen hero.

10. Ichigo(Bleach), ya the guy who managed to surpass people who have been training their shinigami powers for probably hundreds if not thousands of years in a matter of months at the age of 15. With that enormous sword, and an awesome looking bankai, he's the reason we dl bleach every week.

1. Gokou (DBZ) - All I can say is he has the ability to ride the Nimbus Cloude which requires a pure heart. He gave his left a couple to time to save the earth. He's like the ultimate hero with strength and courage.

2. Vash (Trigun) - He's one of the most original heroes I've seen. He never kills anything. He's awesome with guns and definitely cool.

3. Revy (Black Lagoon) - She's one bad@ss hottie. "Two Hand" is awesome.

4. Naruto (Naruto) - The kid got plenty of heart and determination. He cares alot about his friends. He's able to succeed even though the whole village hates him.

5. Chrono (Chrno Crusade) - He's a great companion and friend to Rosette. He helped saved the world from Aeon.

I'm guaranteed to be forgetting a few characters here, so I may change (or append to) my list later... and I've tried to limit it purely to the main character from their respective series because (a) the definition becomes a bit blurry otherwise (does Gaara count, for example?) and (b) it would be far too hard to choose if I included semi-lead characters. xD So here goes:

1. Himura Kenshin (Rurouni Kenshin). In my opinion, he is the perfect shounen hero; no-one else even comes close. He has very strong morals and wisdom, but unlike most typical Jump heroes, he doesn't obnoxiously shout about them every few episodes... so while the likes of Naruto actually make me want to do the opposite of what the series' messages are, I often tend to agree with Kenshin. I guess he just seems much more intelligent and thoughtful, and less annoying. But he also has his own dark past (which all makes sense) and is thoroughly badass at times, which makes him a very interesting character. And it's refreshing to have a main character who isn't constantly portrayed as an underdog. It's impossible not to like and respect the guy in my opinion. :)

2. Shirou Kamui (X). Ah, Mr. Angst... but that's part of his charm. Kamui is invariably cool, but it's also interesting to see his change throughout the series, from cold and unfriendly to kind and caring. He is the perfect troubled, angsty main character.

3. Sumeragi Subaru (Tokyo Babylon and X). I like his character in X, but he gets kind of lost amongst the hordes of other emo characters... so I'm mostly thinking of his Tokyo Babylon character here (which is quite a bit different). He's completely innocent, more so than any other main character I can think of - he's naive and shy, but extremely warm and kind-hearted. He cares about everyone and everything (including animals - always a positive thing in my book :P). He's also rather wise despite his complete naivity most of the time. He's such a good kid... poor, poor Subaru. :(

4. Alucard (Hellsing). I suppose he's equally at home in a villain list as a hero list, but I've always thought of him as the latter... well, an anti-hero anyway. Unlike my first three, Alucard doesn't really have any character depth at all - he's absolutely 100% pure badass. And while I like 3-dimensional characters for the most part, it's great to see a hero who is so cool and kickass as this guy from time to time. So cool. :O

5. Kinomoto Sakura (Cardcaptor Sakura). For some reason female lead characters have been rather ignored in this topic so far, but as far as I'm aware they aren't forbidden, so... >_>; :P Sakura, Sakura. She's so adorable. ^_^ I don't know what else to say, really. She's incredibly cute, charismatic, lovely, and pretty darn strong too. She's a big part of what makes this one of the greatest shoujo series of all time in my opinion.

6. Monkey D. Luffy (One Piece). He's the perfect main character for the series he's in - so carefree and optimistic, not to mention hilarious (the only main character I can think of who makes me laugh, to be honest). One Piece is all about adventure, freedom and optimism, and Luffy examplifies this wonderfully. Also, compared to the likes of Naruto, he's surprisingly not too annoying. So he's great.

7. Misumaru Yurika (Nadesico). Er... I'm probably a bit biased because I find her attractive, but I also think she's a great character. >_>; :laugh She can be ditzy and emotional, but is still very caring and, apparently, very intelligent underneath it all. I like her very much. ^_^

8. Kira Yamato (Gundam Seed). Yes, I'm aware that he's rather hated these days for some reason, but I've always liked him and still do. *running out of time, so my explanations will have to be brief now >_>*

9. Kino (Kino no Tabi). He* is a very quiet, intelligent and insightful character - I like the way he tends to just observe with such impartiality, I guess to try to understand the world more. I guess he reminds me of myself in some ways... or how I'd like to be anyway.

10. Honda Tohru (Fruits Basket). I guess she's kind of a female Subaru. :P Sickeningly sweet, but it's impossible not to like her.
