Quistis was cute, but Aeris was cuter.

Lulu was a snarky goth chick that was actually useful in battle. Her dress was gorgeous, even though the top bit made me wince because it looked like she had her nipples surgically removed.
Paine's hair was admittedly awful, but the rest of her was awesome. Couldn't stand Rikku (FFX2 version) or Yuna (both versions), so I had to search for alternatives. Besides, I love Paine's voice actress.
Didn't like Aeris' character design, or lack of brains. She was the only female character in that entirety of FF7 I disliked. (Elena of the Turks was the best girl in that game. So awesome.)
Most of the main female characters in the FF games suffer from Mary Sue syndrome.
