One on one of course.

Those people are aloud preptime also.

However, when playing they're not aloud to mess with the rules of the card game. Nor are they aloud to mess with Yugi, like mindwipe him or mindcontrol him, etc.

Once the card battle starts they can pull anything funny as long as it does not effect Yugi's on his turn.

So, can anyone beat Yugi Moto and his Godly Heart of The Cards?
If so, who exactly is it? How? Why?

There's no rule against covering your opponent's cards with a blank substance that looks exactly like a Duel Monster card is there?

If such a rule doesn't exist, then Hisoka would win with his bungee gum and parchment altering trick.

Then again, there's also a little set-up that allows a player to win without the opponent being able to do anything about it. It takes incredible luck to pull it off on the first turn, but it is possible as long as the opponent goes second and doesn't have any trap negaters (unless one can match those trap-negators with one's own).

Devil Franken + Blue Eyes Ultimate + Bomb Collar + Key to the Door to Hell = instant win on your second turn. Devil Franken can summon a fusion monster for a single turn (Blue Eyes Ultimate: 4500 atck), Bomb Collar destroys any monster and deals damage equal to its attack strength to both players, and Key to the Door to Hell reflects any non-battle damage to the opponent.

9000 damage at the start of one's second turn is impossible for Yugi to counter, so any player can really pwn the heck out of Yugi with a lot of luck.

Allow the battle to continue though, and Yugi really can pull any card he needs, whenever he needs it. Thus it's essential to kill him before he has a chance to utilize his deus ex machina powers.

(And yes, I was once quite into the card game. Not so keen on the anime though, and I've heard that the manga is much better)

Except that would never happen since luck is always on his side.

Not if Saint of Killers goes in with that potential set up, and threatens to kill luck unless luck switches sides :wink.

Byakugan users may be able to read his cards and all face-down cards on the field. You still have to have the right stuff in your hand though, and as endless Mike said, Yugi's luck can't be defeated. Actually, it's more like his heart of the cards, the opponent's luck is irrelevent.

Don't you guys that the Heart of the Cards makes Yugi cosmic-level in terms of card games. Look at how many times he was getting raped in his duels and he still got the right card to win. The moment I saw pull Exodia out of his ass to defeat Kaiba's Blue-Eyes White Dragon Trio out of his ass, that's when I knew how cosmic the Heart of the Cards are. Man, you can have all traps and spells laid out on the field with a seemingly overpowered monster and he would still draw the right monster that destroys traps, invulnerable to spells and gains a power boost to destroy your monster. He's that broken and the only to win against him is to break the rules completely. Seriously, Yugi's heart of the cards is as cosmic as Luffy' and Goku's eating abilities

Yeah, he's the only character that can beat god cards with conventional ones and defeat someone who can read his mind. That has to be cosmic.

Yami Yugi can't be defeated in Duel Monsters, once he had to roll seven with a one six-sided die. The thing split it in two and gave him seven.

Well if anyone could do it, I would say Lucifer. Though he is cosmic.

Yugi is a walking Deus Ex Machina, I doubt there is anyone that can beat him, save for another Deus Ex Machina or a reality-warper.

Hahaha....

Anyways, yeah this is messed up. Yugi doesn't lose...actually....

Come to think of it

He lost to Kaiba cause Kaiba threatened that he might fall off the castle from shock if Yugi beat him...

I mean, that's not really messing with Yugi I guess....well...wait I suppose that does count as messing with him....well...sort of....

Yugi forfitted the match to save Kaiba's life, it's psychological victory, but not really in Duel Monsters.

Hmm no? What matters is that his life points got reduced to zero and he lost the duel.

Otherwise

You can have a I-Win combo setup, and Yugi will pull out a card that says other wise.

It's just that amazing =[

Yugi still tossed the match, if he wanted to, Kaiba's lifepoints would've dwindled down to 0, rather than his own.

I think the publisher of Duel Monsters could curbstomp Yugi.

"...Five Pieces of Exodia says I win."

"But there was only one Exodia."

"I believe the operative term is -was-"

Yugi has one many a matches at a disadvantage. and didn't need Exodia.

Just take a look at the Yugi/Noah match when he took over for Kaiba with only 100LP left while Noah had 10,000 LP. Lopsided to say the least but Yugi pulled through. There were many other matches were the deck seemed stacked against him but somehow managed to overcome those obstacles and win.

Heck, he proved he's the king of games by beating the creator of Duel Monsters (Pegasus) and Dugeon Dice Monsters (Duke).

The card that he really/truly needs to win in any situation will always appear without fail, just because he is Yugi.
