Translation mistake? or is it suppose to be like this?

During the whole chef arc Luffy has been reffered to as "R"uffy i was just wondering if this was a translation mistake by the website or if the manga is suppose to be like this. And if so does the anime call him Ruffy as well?

Translation mistake. L and R are basically pronounced the same in Japanese, but his name is supposed to be romanized as Luffy.

Exactly, I also saw some HORRIBLY subbed episodes episodes on youtube one time (just for fun because I heard the sub was really bad) they also called Luffy "Ruffy", as well as other names like Bellemere, "Berumeru" (Gerusama did this but I didn't mind it as much as the Hell-HK's "Ruffy", Gerusama rocks).

L and R are commonly mistaken in manga and anime as they're interchangeable in english, there's no L in the traditional Japanese language.
