As a avid arcader, I always wondered which was more powerful story-wise. . .

Devil gene doesn't seem all that powerful, I mean it is powerful but it can and has been put away by regular humans, like Heihachi.

Having said that there are times (in the "non canon" endings where Mishimas caused massive explosions etc with their devil powers).

Is "killing intent" the Dark hadou? Like what Akuma uses? Akuma comes across more as an unstoppable monster than Kazuya or Jin story wise, he seems "above" the regular fighters (alsoJinpachi had the devil gene mixed with the ogre gene or something ridiculous so I excluded him).

In my opinion, its killer intent form SF.

I said this in another forum and I'll say it here.

Satsui no Hado ni Mezameta Ryu is a BEAST in the SFA movie. He took a Messatsu Gou Hadou with NO visible damage. At least, I think it was that version of the hadouken...

Edit: Oh, my fault. This isn't a character versus character fight. Well then, it's the Devil Gene. Setsui no Hadou is just tapping into more ki, really. The Devil Gene is an actual transformation. But by feats of the two characters, it seems like Setsui no Hadou is more powerful. I seriously think that it isn't. Jin just hasn't tapped into more of the Devil Gene's power yet.

It's genuinely hard to compare when you consider that the Mishimas are monsters with insane durability even without the Devil Gene ("A cliff? A barrage of machine gun fire? A point blank explosion? Call me when it's urgent."), and that the only person with the Satsui no Hadou to have performed any real feats with it; while equally insane, doesn't have feats without it for a comparison point.

Although, it has to be said, Gouki sinking an island with a punch, cutting through a mountain with his fist, kicking a sunken ship from the bottom of the ocean all the way up to the surface, all without even using his full power, I'm pretty sure he couldn't do that before.

The mountain thing I can understand. Heck, I even like that feat because I like how it was worked into the story. But the machine gun and explosion (the Heihachi one, right?) I didn't care to much for. It seemed like they just wanted to add pointless and unnecessary shows of power for the Mishima clan. Granted, the machine gun is more believable, but the explosion?! If you are referring to the Heihachi one, then I stand by that disbelief.

That explosion was rubbish. I mean Heihachi should be in foster home playing Bingo not tanking blasts and making all Tekken fans think he's dead

Jin is where the parties at. He's so much more awesome than his old man and his old mand and his old man's old man's old man
