Something really bugs me about this series, as awesome as it is.
NO ONE DIES!
I know the character can be developed and be cool later on, but no one dies, it's so annoying.
And for manga readers, something recent might make you agree with this too.

ah the classic complaint for shonen manga. Shonen manga is geared towards well... shonen. "boys". Death in shonen manga is not dealt out alot, its only dealt out
1. to further the plot
2. for a major villain
we can't really ask for more than that because the mangaka also needs his editor's opinion on every plot development he decides to undertake (as far as I know this is the case for all weekly shonen mangaka), and if the editor says "if no one has to die, then don't kill off someone" then the mangaka has to comply. And besides, in bleach 3/4, of the cast are technically dead. They are spirits after all. :)
If you want more death read Seinen manga.

I've noticed that no one really dies in Shounen. :laugh No one has died in Bleach, One Piece, and Naruto (except for villians like Sasori).
I was kind of upset that Hinamori didn't die, but otherwise I don't want anyone to die!

Yeah, I've noticed that, for a series about dead spirits, there isn't any actual death in Bleach.

in naruto it's fine because they have things like the chunnin exam where u expect people to not die, but then real fights liek the sound 5 they all have deaths.. well except the good guys, that was pretty annoying as well.

None of them are alive to begin with :D (they're animated) :D
Nah, just kidding. Hmm.. That girl died in the fillers :P (don't remember her name, she was a bounto)

Someone will eventually die. Dont worry about it

The thing is, that if they die, they just reincarnate in the other world without powers...so basically it's pointless to kill anyone unless it's something weird like Ichigo's mom or Kaien.

If any shounen series was to permanently kill off characters, it certainly could be Bleach with its inflated roster. Sure, most are already dead and for those that aren't death isn't anything resembling final, but it's not like there aren't ways to circumvent that.
omg laser pew pew!

They could kill off around 15 guys and none of us would care

If you want more death read Seinen manga.
can you, or anyone else give an example of "Seinen manga"?

berserk or gantz would be prime examples of seinin manga and the way people can be killed off =p
bakakage pretty much summed things up, shounens are geared mainly toward boys/teens and all mangaka have an editor who checks things with the story and has the right to change things if they see fit. A mangaka doesn;t have as much freedom as you might think.

Just the fear of killing of popular characters, people might stop reading or watching, but it's true...
Aizen just should have stayed dead XP
