View Full Version : which media program do you use to open mp4 file

in the later episode of one piece, the file is in mp4, does anybody knows how to open this media file or any codec to open it with window media???

Uninstall all ur codecs and install just this package:

Combined Community Codec Pack (http://www.cccp-project.net/)

It can read everything, and u won't have to waste space, besides being able to read any sub out there.

I use VLC player (http://www.videolan.org/vlc/) to play everything except music. It's really good. :nod

That too... it's not bad but it screws up a little with some videos. I still go with cccp and vlc if u want to.

VLC player doesnt work on mp4 file on my computer. and the CCCP doesnt work because it says i need "divx directshow 3.11 or4.0". anybody knows what that is. and how did u get VLC to work on mp4?

Well that's strange, since the divx isn't used on an mp4 file. Normally the cccp is the best way to go, if not I'd advise u to read how to play them on the Kaizoku Fansubs forum since I guess that's where u got it.

VLC plays anything I shot at it and BS player does the rest for me

Just install CCCP and get Media Player Classic and you're good to go.. VLC screws up typesetting.

ok, since nobody answered me in my thread, i'm gonna ask here:
can you tell me if there is a program that can split or convert those mp4 episodes so i can upload them on youtube? pretty please with a cherry on top?

Use VirtualDubMod. If you head over to http://kaizoku-fansubs.com and go to the forums you'll find a tutorial on how to convert to avi then you can import to windows movie maker to split it or change the quality :amuse

Yeah just get VLC player i use it aswell. havent found really anything that it doesnt play

i tried CCCP and i have classic media..but they dont work..luckily, i have the newer version of VLC now:)
